Re: "Favorite" Artist Tournament: Round of 128/Group #3

1. Iron Maiden - I respect Marvin Gaye, but not really a soul/r&b fan.
2. Pet Shop Boys - Kings Of Leon do nothing for me. They are just another band.
3. Rush - I've been a Rush fan for many years.
4. JP
5. Abstain - not a fan of either
6. Abstain - not a fan of either
7. Abstain - not a fan of either. I think Nirvana is overrated, but I'm not familiar with the other group
8. QR - I think The Doors are very overrated a QR had a 5-album run that is awesome.

Iron Maiden (Up The Irons!)
Rush
Judas Priest
Queensryche

I could vote for Marvin Gaye over a few artists, but not the mighty Maiden...

It is funny how the draw shakes out sometimes. It looks like Cobain vs Morrison is likely to happen.

really? remember that What's Going On frequently makes the top 10 on "all time album" lists, so I don't consider it a surprise that he's holding his own

Hate to see Iron Maiden get blown out in the opening round but if they had to be blown out by anybody, I'm glad it's Marvin Gaye

People are voting for the Killers over SLAYER!??!?! If I had any doubt that the opinions of dvdtalkers are bass ackwards in many areas, this completely proves it.

Let's all "play nice"

This is a popularity contest and entirely subjective so.... no whining, please, if you find yourself to be in the minority opinion in any particular part of the vote. That way the thing stays open and everyone can just be quietly smug as to the value of their own superior opinions.

Yeah, no whining . . . I mean, damn, some band named Nirvana is beating my Big Star. What the hell?!
