What Country Produces Your Favorite Music?
I was listening to some songs the other day and I realized that despite my favorite band Rush being from Canada and liking numerous American (and a surprisingly high number of Australian bands and artists), a large percentage of the bands that I like are British despite being 100% born and bred American. Any one country strongly represented in your collection?

In my collection it's America by far, but if I were to list my favorites the UK and Canada would be close second and thirds.

If I were to go through my collection, I'd say close to half (and probably 80-90% of the music that I've purchased in the last 4-5 years) is from one of the following four countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark....pretty much for the same reason (and bands) as Traxan.

Over the past 5 years or so, Sweden, easily.
Amon Amarth
The Haunted
Dark Tranquillity
In Flames
Sybreed
Prior to that, probably the US.

UK, then followed closely by the US...distant 3rd from Canada...the rest of the world follows pretty much equally at 4th place.

Sweden, then Australia. Then USA.
Swedish rock has been just about the best place going for the past 10 years if you like rock. The Hellacopters, Sewergrooves, Backyard Babies, Demons, The Maggots, Sator, The Nomads, Entombed, Hardcore Superstar, the Hives, Psychotic Youth, Union Carbide Productions... the list goes on...
Australia has the Saints, the Victims, the Hitmen, Hoodoo Gurus, Musclecar, Devilrock Four, Celibate Rifles, Radio Birdman, Mustang, Brother Brick, Persian Rugs, Challenger 7, Asteroid B-612... just naming these fantastic rock bands off the top of my head... tons more...
USA of course has had more than it's fair share... I'm mainly talking recent rock (within 10 years) here... Of course the US is so vast, it's better to mention cities of rock when comparing to other countries. Minneapolis in the '80s, Seattle in the '90s, San Diego in the early '90s, San Francisco in the '80, NYC in the '70s or Boston or Detroit in their heydays are just as good as Australia & Sweden.

Strangely, having never been there and having no connection to the country, Germany.
ASP, Der Bote, Corvus Corax, Dein Schatten, Eisbrecher, E Nomine, Estampie, Eric Fish, Garmarna, In Extremo, Infamis, Janus, KMFDM, Letzte Instanz, Megaherz, OOMPH!, Qntal, Rammstein, Subway to Sally, Tanzwut, Unheilig, Witt
Probably missed a few, but yes. Germany makes my favorite music.
