Re: U2: No Line on the Horizon - March 3rd, 2009
I saw The Rolling Stones on their last tour and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Age isn't always the limiting factor on live performance that we think it is.

Yeah they are all around 47-48, So they aren't THAT old. If the stones and Paul McCartney are still kicking, you can bet U2 will be around for awhile.

Gillette Stadium also - that's gotta be 40k tickets or more, gone in under 5 minutes!

Re: U2: No Line on the Horizon - March 3rd, 2009
Yeah, the Toronto dates both sold out in less than 20 minutes (it could have been way sooner but I didn't check again until 20 min later)... that's like 100k tickets. I love how the GA tickets were cheap (compared to good seats), it's great when that happens since I prefer to stand up!

Just got my tickets to the Rose Bowl. Disappointed to hear that Muse doesn't appear to the support act for the West Coast. Looking forward to seeing this colossal stage design, though!

I love Muse and Snow Patrol, so it was a win win for me either way. Snow Patrol is opening my show.

Re: U2: No Line on the Horizon - March 3rd, 2009
U2 have been having UNIQUE presale passwords that are one time use only for subscribers of u2.com, so unless a member there is willing to give up their code, you might be SOL. (Unless your market is having a more generic presale, but mine did not).

That was a lot less painless this time around.
4 GA tickets for the RoseBowl. simple.

Looks like the opening act for Los Angeles and Vancouver is the Black Eyed Peas. Sorry, but in what universe did artist management think that would be a good fit?

Must be the same people who booked Prince to open for the Stones in 1981. He came on stage at the LA Colisseum wearing a trenchcoat and panties and was pelted with debris and left the stage after 4 songs.

Wish it was Muse in Boston, I'd actually think about going. I swore off stadium shows years ago, but that double-bill would make me re-think my position. Unfortunately, Snow Patrol does not have the same effect.

After listening to the new album enough times, I think "Moment Of Surrender" has grown on me the most. That's a really sweet song even with Bono saying "ATM machine". That's a little pet peeve.

As a result to being late to the party, I had to pay $8.99 for the album at Amazon. Too bad. Hope it was worth it.

Re: U2: No Line on the Horizon - March 3rd, 2009
I quite like the set list. My favorite song is Until the End of the World, but I guess that I can live without it. It would be nice if they gave Pride a rest, as they appear to have done with New Year's Day.
