The song is similar for like 5-10 seconds, and then it's pretty different. This is lame.

Some good came out of this thread for me. I listened to Satriani's "The Extremist" for the first time in years thanks to this thread. What a great album. I'd recommend it to everyone. Some may find tracs 2&3 (The Extremist&War) a bit too heavy, but I find the album to be well balanced.

Also found out about Chickenfoot. I can't wait.

Except that Marvel *WAS* credited and permission was sought by (*AND* given to) Satriani to use the image. John Byrne (the artist who drew the comic from which the image was taken) is just cheesed because HE didn't receive royalties from album sales (which he wasn't entitled to).

So that kinda blows your theory straight out the water, huh?
