I'm usually not into comps at all, but Gaslight Anthem covering the man in black, I will gladly make an exception.

It's a step up from Odditorium, but that's not saying much.

These topics seem to do better without the dates attached. Maybe a thread covering the entire month might be easier or more appealing?

Greg Dulli: Live at Triple Door

Amazing acoustic set from one half of the Gutter Twins and the former frontman of the Afghan Whigs and Twilight Singers.

Sorry, poor image quality. The Swell Season by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (both of the film Once) is on the left, Town of Ten by The Old Joe Clarks on the right.

Just not a lot of responses in these threads, I'm still waiting for auto to answer me about the new Ryan Adams CD.

Today I've listened to so far . . .

One of my absolute favorite bands

This was my #1 album the entire year of 2008 until the new Gaslight Anthem came out. For anyone w/ similar tastes wanting to see a phenomenal concert, these guys are on tour with The Hold Steady right now

Have playing right now as I type this

I noticed that, too. Weird. I personally prefer the weekly threads because I like to contain my week's worth of listening in one post, so this way I don't have to hunt through a long thread to add my albums. Plus, it adds a little bit of forum uniformity with the similar thread in DVD Talk (though I've never actually posted in those threads).

Strange that we didn't have this "problem" in the even more limiting "Today's CDs" threads back in the day.

But, whatever. It's not a huge deal and is really just up to whoever starts the thread.

How is this? Their studio album this year is getting to be one of my favorites.

One of my favorite bands. They can't touch the greatness of Rammstein, but these guys make some damn good music nevertheless.
