Thanks for the info.

Manfred Mann's cover of the Police's "Demolition Man" Sting sings "I'm an Arsenal of Doom" but both the singer and background singers in the Earth Band sing "I'm an Ass-enal of doom" dropping the "R". Why do they intentionally mispronounce words?

It's obviously a matter of personal opinion, but the seemingly obvious choice is Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower. Not necessarily my favorite, but an absolutely iconic version of a song by one of rock's greatest, covering probably the best songwriter in rock.

Though I liked seeing the Feelies get a mention!

I love Type O Negative's "Summer Breeze". Their version of "Cinnamon Girl" is pretty cool too.

Queensryche's "Scarborough Fair" is another favorite.

I'm sure I will get shit on by all the cool people (people who hate on Limp Bizkit), but I love the cover Limp Bizkit did of Sanitarium at that MTV Metallica tribute show.

I'm not a huge Springsteen fan, but I always liked his stripped down, mournful take on Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream"

In addition to this Morrissey cover, I would also add The Pretender's cover of 10cc's "I'm not in love" found on the Indecent Proposal soundtrack.
