Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy/Palace, et al.
Hi everyone,
I've been recently trying to crack into Will Oldham's stuff lately. I have "I See A Darkness", "The Letting Go", and "Viva Lost Blues" and love them all, with Darkness being my favorite.
The guy's recorded a dozen plus albums under a handful of different names. Any fans here who can help me out? I just don't know where to go next. Any reccomendations are helpful!
Thanks!

I have just about everything of his, and I always recommend "Ease Down the Road" as my favorite of his. Most other people say that "I See A Darkness" is his best. Any of the stuff he's put out under the Bonnie Prince Billy name is worth hearing, IMO.
The Palace stuff is also worth checking out, but can be more hit or miss.
Others:
* "Summer In The Southeast" - nice live album
* "Sings Greatest Palace Music" Nashville-ized re-recordings of older stuff, including Palace stuff
By the way, here's a complete (?) discography: http://users.bart.nl/~ljmeijer/oldham/discog.htm

just about everything he has released is great. my favorites would be 'i see a darkness', 'master & everyone' and 'days in the wake' (originally released as a 'palace brothers' self-titled album).
the only record i didnt enjoy was 'the brave and the bold' with tortoise.
