Yes, and you should have went. The crowd wasn't very big but very into the show. There were some really good crowd performances of some ERB. One young guy delivered Shakespeare's lines word for word and on point.

I loved his live show, but don't have any interest in his albums. The few songs I have never get played. I'm glad he's still making music, and hope the best for him, meaning more live concerts.

^Well then you should be happy. An album usually means touring to support said album.

I met Weird Al last year at one of his concerts. He autographed my CD. He didn't charge anything. A true class act.
Has anyone heard what the track listings are for his newest album?

Apparently the lead single will be a parody of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy"
Al was caught on video recently backstage at one of her shows asking her permission. Other than that, nothing has leaked that I know of.

By the way, I’ll have 8 – that’s right, 8 – brand new music videos… and I’ll be world-premiering one every single day for eight days straight, starting on July 14!

This appears to be the tracklisting from Wikipedia (linked to itunes):

"Sports Song"
"Word Crimes"
"My Own Eyes"
"NOW That's What I Call Polka!"
"Mission Statement"

Any speculation as to paradies based on the titles? Let the guessing begin!!!!

I would guess "Handy" is the suspected Iggy Azalea "Fancy" parody

Weird Al posted on social media that there are (will be) 8 videos. I am guessing half of them will probably be animated?

I can't wait. I wish he was doing a parody of Team instead of Royals (assuming that's what it is).
I'm wondering what song is a parody of a popular 90s group that Patton Oswalt alluded to.

Re: The Weird Al Yankovic Appreciation Thread
Based on his recent video output, I would expect at least 6 or 7 of the videos to be animated. Last album we only got the one live action video (Perform this Way), but I think there was a video for every track on the album (even the polka medley).
Pretty sure the previous album (Straight Outta Lynwood) only had the one live action video too (White and Nerdy).

"Tacky" = "Fancy"
"Foil" = "Royals"
Those are the only ones that I can think of.
"NOW That's What I Call Polka!" is probably most likely a mix of popular songs as usual.

Nah, I see a "Happy" parody being the lead single. That's "Handy", for sure. Especially with the clapping in the dances I've had the misfortune pleasure of seeing.
