Albums titled "The Chess Box" - why that title?
I have three albums in my collection titled "The Chess Box" (and there may be a lot more out there). Etta James, Bo Diddley, and Chuck Berry. I understand Chronicles (4-ABBA, Carpenters, Rush, Styx), Anthology, etc., but why is it that popular to title an album "The Chess Box" ?

OOOOOOooooohhhhhhhhhhh..... didn't know there was such a label. Now it makes sense. I kept trying to figure out how the game of chess fit into the picture.

The Willie Dixon Chess box is pretty sweet as well.
I have to ask, though -- how does one end up with sets from Etta James, Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry never having heard of Chess Records?
