former Metal Church singer David Wayne dies.
He was lead singer on the first 2 Metal Church albums, Metal Church and the classic The Dark, plus on the later released Metal Church Live and the 1999 reunion album Masterpiece. When he left Metal Church he recorded several albums with the band Reverened. After leaving Metal Church the second time he formed the band "Wayne".
I'm a huge Metal Church fan and this really sucks. The best I can find is that he was found dead at his home on May 10th and its believed that he died from complications from a recent car accident. RIP brother http://www.davidwaynesmetalchurch.com/ http://www.metalchurch.com/home.shtml Last edited by cactusoly; 05-11-05 at 10:23 PM. |

Badlands was from the 3rd album Blessing in Disguse whick had Mike Howe on vocals. He was on the next 2 albums (the Human Factor and Hanging In The Balance) David Wayne returned in 99 with the album Masterpiece. He left the band again and formed the band Wayne calling the debut album "Metal Chuch" |

thats so sad, I loved the first two Metal Church albums and was even a bigger Reverend fan! Reverend is one of the most underrated metal bands, anyone who likes 80's metal needs to check out those albums.
