Worst Cover?

Is this the worst cover of a song you ever heard?

http://www.hugi.is/hahradi/bigboxes....1208&f_id=1269

Warning - It will most likely make your ears hurt, but it's funny as hell.

I can't vouch for that being the worst cover ever, as I haven't listened to it.

I do know that the worst I have ever heard is Six Feet Under's version of AC/DC's Back In Black album. While I should have known better, their cover of Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak is actually pretty good.

In a word: Yes.

They can afford to smash kitchen appliances, but they can't afford a belt for that one guy?

I was all set to produce this link to trump whatever your link was, but after seeing yours there's no contest. Yours wins hands down.

That Ozzy In My Life you posted is a pretty good start for the worst list.

Yeah, that's pretty bad too, but those cheerleaders are really hot! They kinda make it worth it.

Good god. I'd have to say yours is the worst, simply because it has cringe factor. The OP's link has a constant humor factor which makes it at least bearable to watch. I didn't even make it past the halfway point with yours. As soon as the chearleaders left the first time, so did I.

BTW...what the hell were Uncle Cracker and Sisqo doing in there?!?

I love it for the kitch value...

The worst cover version I've ever heard is Lenny Kravitz's version of "American Woman". He took one of the most driving rock songs in history and stripped any sense of power or groove out of it. It's so bland, it's offensive.

Actually kind of liked that one. It was interesting, and held my interest for the duration - that's more than most by-the-numbers covers do.

You're right, it is Tek.

It's also not Unkle Kracker. It's the lead singer of Smashmouth.

Now I wonder how much they got paid to sully their names and be in a video such as this?

THAT was bad. Bad enough to watch and enjoy, though. But, damn, those guys can't sing. I guess some group had to pick up where LFO left off.

I would have to agree with you. That was truly terrible and far worse than the first link. It is a shame you left so early...you missed the rap segment.

Def Leppard should be ashamed for giving them the rights to record it.

The others I cant say that for.

how bout Limp Bizquicks Faith (true not a great song to begin with, but at least fun to sing when no ones listening) and didnt he just do another remake? was it Behind Blue Eyes? Im not sure, probebly wrong.

Durst also did a cover of 'Wish You Were Here' at one of the 9/11 telethons... I think that was the worst cover I've ever heard in my life (followed closely by his others).

Yes. I remember when this song came out and it was on the radio *ALL THE TIME*. I'm admit i'm not much of a Lenny fan, but i knew he completely ruined that song.

Hmmm that would explain after I seen the Video for hereos I seen a Pale Horse with a skinny dude with a scale in his hand ride past my window.

Oh well, perhaps there should be a book called The Dylan Code.

Not a big fan of Lisa Loeb's cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way". She's good with the sweet and melancholy love songs but it's a really driving, pissed off song (Lindsay Buckingham wrote it as a kiss-off to ex Stevie Nicks) and the slowed down sing-songy way she does it completely defeats the impetus of the song.
