It probably would have been better to get the Clash albums, but at least with the singles you get the original version of Bankrobber.

You need to get London Calling, it has been called one of the greatest albums of all time.

Gotta wait a few years for that, I don't think community college has one.

I think you'd like some latter period Hellacopters (not earlier). The last Backyard Babies too.

The suggestion for Goo Goo Dolls "Boy Named Goo" was a good one too. Any of their latter period stuff would be good for you too (the compilation "Ego, Opinion..." would be great too if you liked "Boy Named Goo". then you could work your way into their earlier stuff).

Everyone could use some Replacements in there. "Let It Be" would be great to start.

Also Husker Du.

Why only two U2 albums? Complete your U2 collection immediately, and start with "The Joshua Tree" and "Achtung Baby."

Well, you're missing four of my current favorite bands completely. Judging from your collection, you should download a few tracks and see what you think.

Evanescence - try Going Under, Bring Me to Life
Nine Inch Nails - you've probably heard them, but try anything from Pretty Hate Machine to start with.
garbage - again, you've probably heard plenty. They aren't the best band in the world, but they don't put filler on their albums either, and that counts for a lot in my book. If you can't be great, being consistently good counts as much to me.
Tori Amos - may or may not be your cup of tea, she's a love/hate kind of artist, and there's really nothing else like her. There's nothing in your collection to suggest you would or wouldn't like her, so I'm just throwing it in at the bottom. Start with "A Sort of Fairytale" and her remake of "I Don't Like Mondays". Those are a little more accessable than some of her other work.

You MUST get

Ocean Colour Scene - "Mosley Schoals"

They're sort of a modern day Beatles meets the Who.

Well...here I go:

The new 3 Doors Down I like. But you have stated that you don't like the 2 songs on the radio so......

I see you do not have any Saliva....if you like Linkin Park you will absolutely love Saliva. Much more rockin' without the depressing lyrics.

I'd also recommend completing your Dave Matthews collection. That may take you a while. Start with Crash but any of the 2-cd live shows are not only a great value but it's live which is obviously where there talent lies. You also might be interested in their busted Stuff CD they temporarily trashed in favor of Everyday, but then released after.

Deftones: You like their latest CD? Have not picked it up yet but try out Around The Fur....their best CD as far as I'm concerned.

I second the idea of getting the original Foo Fighters CD.

Also second Goo Goo Dolls, A Boy Named Goo.

What happened here ..."Guns N' Roses: Appetite For Destruction [Edited]"
The only reason I ask is that I picked up there double live at a used CD store and it turned out to be edited....man I hate when that happens!

Incubus: Morning View is a must...but then again I even like their earlier CDs.

I also second Cold: The Year of the Spider: better than their last CD.

Ozzy: Down to Earth......this is your next step.

Rage Against The Machine: Run...don't walk, and get Renegades. Too bad they split up. I thought renegades was their best CD to date...I lot of covers but excellent.

Santana: Shaman. If you liked Supernatural then you'll surely like Shaman. Listen to it a few times. It definatley grows on you.

Van Halen: Self Titled, 5150, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, Balance.

As for new music:
I'll have to get back to you since the collection is at home.

Chet

If the new saliva cd is anything like the two radio songs, (radio friendly crap ballads), I'm not getting it. Is there any chance that Evanecence will release the first album? I plan to get the new one soon.
NIN isn't really my taste but which one has closer on it?

Actually, the "edited" version that I have of appetite for distruction does not cut any of the lyrics at all. We just don't see the robot rape cover.

Closer is on the downward spiral cd. I don't think any of the bands I mentioned are 'music for everyone', but I don't think any truly great music is.

You have to get BUTCH WALKER-LEFT OF SELF CENTERED!!

If you like Bowling for soup youll love him!!
He wrote "Girl all the bad guys want" and "Life after Lisa"

After you buy his album buy albums from his other band..The Marvelous 3...
Start with "Hey Album!" and then get "Ready Sex Go!"
