Eminem - love 'em, hate 'em, who cares?
so my question is: what's your opinion of Eminem?
i just started listening to him (bought both the Eminem Show and Marshall Mathers LP). he offends me some of the time, but I finally realized that he's rapping offensively just to piss those people off who complain about him being offensive. (if nobody complained, would he still rap about the same stuff? probably, but who knows.)
so, what do you think?

just wanted to add, my boss told me quite adamantly yesterday that he thinks anybody who gets enjoyment out of listening to Eminem has something very wrong with them. (He almost spat every time he said his name.. it was amusing to me..)
that's why i'm posting this thread.

I like his song Without Me but I hated that lame My Name Is song, not sure if that's the name of it or not. Those are the only two songs I've heard of his. I really don't listen to rap. I've heard all about his offensive lyrics but I believe in freedom of speech, no matter how vulgar he's got the right to be sing about whatever he wants.

I'm just not really into rap. I think he's very talented at what he does but I could care less. The only rap/hip hop bands I sort of listen to are Black Eyed Peas, Aceyalone, and Cannibal Ox. All of those are very different from Eminem

I chose Just don't like him - he's not offensive to me.
He's just Dre's little bit........ side kick anyway.
Its just music.People have been pissin people off with it since the beginning no matter how they sing it.
It sells albums and he will continue to sing like that till the day he don't sell any.

Now he is going after Lana Del Rey
https://music.yahoo.com/news/eminem-...us-weekly.html
On Monday, Nov. 10, Marshall Mathers released a freestyle rap video "SHADYXV – THE CXVPHER" in promotion of his upcoming Shady XV compilation album.
At one point during the collaboration with Slaughterhouse and YelaWolf, Eminem calls out Del Rey and threatens violence against her, citing the Ray Rice scandal as well.
"But I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice / Play nice?" Eminem raps in the video, referencing the former Baltimore Ravens player, who made headlines for his abusive relationship with wife Janay. "Bitch I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance / 'Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens."
"West Coast" singer Del Rey, 29, has yet to comment on Eminem's misogynistic lyrics. She previously spoke highly of the rapper, telling Italian publication RNB Junk in 2012, "Eminem is the master of lyrics whereas Frank Sinatra is the master of vocals… I f---ing love Eminem."

I was hoping he was past all of this calling-people out stuff. He's getting too old.
I've been a huge fan of his since 1999, so I've spent more than half of my life listening to him. But it's getting tiring. I didn't care a whole lot for The MMLP2, so maybe that was his swan song for me. Disappointing.

I do enjoy a bunch of his songs, however his lipsyncing at the recent Pukkelpop concert really pissed me off to no end. Ridiculous that he would have to resort to lipsyncing.

But the Marshal Mathers LP was a classic. I never bought any of his other albums though. H

He's shitty. And desperate for attention, with all his callouts of other people. He's trying too hard - like Kim Kardashian in a blonde wig. And with the huge ass on top of his shoulders.

I wouldn't have known about this new album if not for his attempt at attention whoredom.

I went through a very short phase, in my early 20's, where I thought he was pretty cool. I bought his second album... listened to it a lot.
Now, I can't stand his music. It's terrible in every way. Even the songs I used to like are pretty lame, hearing them semi-recently. I've moved on.

Aging piece of white trash using misogyny and controversy to stay relevant. His talent scrubbed away long ago and now he's trying to cling to scraps of attention to keep his income flowing, otherwise he'll end up just like every other trailer park casualty.
