Weezer touring with Dashboard Confessional this summer

Heard on the radio this morning, and confirmed it on DC's website. Personally, I love both bands, so I think this is great news.

Personally, I think that Weezer has dissolved into being worse than Chris Carraba, so I'm happy they are thrilled together. Maybe everyone can "emo" themselves to death at the concerts. Needless to say, I'll be skipping that tour this summer.

Not even sure what that means. Must be "elite-speak".

Actually I think it is a little more of

If they come anywhere near here, I'll go.

I saw Weezer last summer and enjoyed it, so why not. I don't think that the green album or maladroit are as good as the first two albums, but compared to everything else that is out there right now, they are one of the best bands left.

Sounds great! I haven't seen Dashboard yet, so I'll be looking forward to it.

You seemed to want reactions to them touring as you put yours in your post. I'm not really sure what you're unaware of, but it isn't elite speak. More that while the bands themselves aren't rancid...I think I couldn't stand being around their fans for more than a brief passing moment when they are all clustered together.

Haven't seen Weezer since the Pinkerton tour, so I am definitely looking forward to this. How's Dashboard Confessional? What song(s) should I download? I've been poor lately, so I'd like to know what they sound like before buying an album of theirs.

I saw on Weezer.net that some dates they will be playing with the Strokes.

Seeing Weezer and the Strokes on the same date would rock, IMHO

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. These songs sound pretty good, nice acoustic vibe throughout. Think I'll pick their album up next payday.

I love Weezer's albums but last year they put on one of THE most boring live performances I have ever seen. Thankfully the D was there to save the night from being a complete loss.

So does anyone have the password for the pre-sale? The email I get from my local radio station told about the presale for this and Oasis, but didn't have a password...

Thanks in advance.

Weezer's site has some (pre-sale PW's) for selected cities.

Unfortunately, I'm probably not going to go, because I found out what venue they are playing here, & unless I got good tickets, it would suck.
