New Dokken album - Long Way Home

Dokken's new album, Long Way Home is out now, and it's getting mixed reviews.

It's very interesting, as it combines the classic Dokken sound with influences as far ranging as King's X, Tom Petty, and the Beatles. There are some heavy songs with a darker feel that still have nice vocal harmonies on Long Way Home, and some Petty-esque and Beatlesque songs as well.

The closest album in their catalog would be Dysfunctional (which is one of my favorite Dokken albums).

(If you haven't heard anything from the album I do play one of the songs on the latest Erik's Metal Shop - # 35 - and there is a review of the album there as well, FYI....)

If you've heard the album, what do you think?

I like it, but was a little disappointed (too many ballads).
