I'm not ashamed of any concert I went to. Course, I didn't start going to concerts until college, so I don't have any 80's bands on my conscience(although Skid Row did open for STP). So I'll go with this answer. I was ashamed to be seeing an opener at a White Zombie concert. I think they were the Supersuckers, and they did a super job of sucking. But the Toadies more than made up for it.
Wait, maybe I am ashamed of the fact that I liked Sinead O'Connor's performance at Lollapalooza '95 better than pretty much everyone else there(other than Coolio and Cypress Hill).

It was the tour to promote Brave New World. Sigh! May your killing stroke be swift and clean!

There are 2 shows that I am ashamed of going to:
1. Cinderella with opening acts Tangier and Badlands
2. Green Day - I like Green Day, but thier opening act was a band called Pansy Division. A group of guys who sang songs like Nine Inch Males and james Bondage while dancers ran around the stage with rubber "attatchments" and gave each other "favors". The really bad thing was that it was at the height of GD's popularity and there were many kids present.

I attended an NSYNC concert last year. You may be saying "WHY? GOD WHY!" I went for the opening act, Deborah Gibson. Now ppl would probably say I should be ashamed for wanting to see Deborah Gibson just as much as being at an NSYNC concert lol but I'm not. Oh, I've seen Britney about 5 times too. Hot. Not ashamed.

I don't think I'm really ASHAMED of any of the shows I've seen, but some of them EMBARRASS me. I saw 'N Sync in 1999, but that was a) free, and b) a favor to a friend, so I don't count it. I feel embarrassed that I have to count KISS from 1977 as my first show ever, but a lot of people actually envy that experience (especially since Bon Scott-era AC/DC opened).
Lessee - what else. I took in two David Lee Roth shows in the Eighties, but at least those were also free. Probably the most embarrassing shows I pursued on my own and paid for would be:
Midnight Star/Klymaxx/Some other crummy soul group, 1985;
Whitney Houston, 1986;
Midnight Star/Morris Day (NOT with the time - "Oak Tree" era!)/the Jets/Some other crap, 1986.
No, I'm not proud of my dalliance with mid-Eighties R&B, but I liked it at the time. 1986 is my most embarrassing concert year ever. If I look back over all 20+ years of shows I've attended, it has the smallest percentage of concerts I'd still see today. Cripes, I went to see a-ha, for God's sake! Hmm... that one's up there on the list...

I've seen Chicago at least 6 times - the truly scary thing is the miles I've logged to see this band..... twice in Calgary, once in Edmonton, once in Las Vegas, twice in Tahoe and once at the Hollywood Bowl.
To top it off, I also saw Peter Cetera on his one and only solo tour 4 times. Three times in Vegas, once in Tahoe, and I would have been at the Boise show, but it was cancelled.
And I live in Canada......
It was fun at the time.....
