Which music artist/s would you most like to meet?
If you could meet/could have met any music artist or band, who would it be/have been and why?
Of course I would want to meet Wilco, since they are currently my favorite band, but I don't know that I wouldn't have wanted to meet the Beatles when they were still together.

I would like to have met Wolfgang Mozart. It sounds like he was a crude little party animal back in the 18th century.
Apart from that? Maybe David Bowie (I rubbed his upper thigh once), Iggy Pop, Madonna, that Erasure dude, GWAR (again...), and maybe a few others. Don't have a clue what I'd say to them, though.

I'd fear that something would be said or done that would have an adverse effect on my ability to continue to enjoy an artist's music.
I listen to music in the hope that it might inspire me through my own interpretation. While I greatly appreciate the artists who provide me with such an opportunity, I have no desire to meet them face to face.

I would most liked to have met George Harrison. It looked like I was going to be able to up until a few months before his death. He was supposed to come here for an interview until his health went downhill.

I hate to brag, but I have spent significant time with Wilco, as well as Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Pretty awesome.

So tell me about them all.

The only person I have not met that I would love to talk
with (although I'm not sure how coherent he would be) is
Keith Richards. And I used to live only a couple miles from
him in CT.

Oh, come on. You LOVE to brag. I sure would. So tell me about meeting them, please (Wilco, Paul, and Ringo). I would choose to meet Wilco over the Beatles unless I could've met both John and George. They were my favorites, as far as songwriting.

Paul and Ringo each separately came to my office to do interviews. After Paul's interview he came out and was walking through our office. I went over and shook his hand, mumbled a few words. He laughed and said something, don't remember what, then left. Maybe a minute or two total.
When Ringo came he loved the attention. He stayed around and made jokes for a while. He was exactly as I expected him to be.

Well, I first met Jeff when he was in Uncle Tupelo. They played at my father's bar in VA. I wasn't a fan then, but my dad was and wanted me to meet them. Jeff was really nice (i was 13 or so) and Jay just sort of shook my hand and walked away. I've hung out with Wilco a few times since. I haven't interviewed them yet, I hope I will in the next month or two, but probably the best time was hanging out on the tour bus with all of them. They were extremely nice and funny and they were showing me and my friends these weird videos. It was a good time. I saw them a month or two later and Jeff remembered me, invited me back again. I didn't talk to them about their music or anything, just hung out.

Tijs Verwest.. aka DJ Tiesto..
met him in october.. shook his hand.. got him to sign my record of his remix to delerium's silence.. and he even played that song at the end of his eoncore set (he looked for me, gave me the thumbs up, and crossfaded over to silence.. it was the happiest moment of my life)
