Assemblage 23 - "Disappoint"
- more painful lyrics there were never; I've never experienced suicide (friends or family), but this song never ceases to convey the sadness, frustration and guilt that must be associated from surviving a loved one
Apoptygma Berzerk - "Moment Of Tranquility"
- haunting lyrics, very poignant to my life (and the Twin Peaks riff doesn't hurt either)
Bjork - "Hyperballad" and "Joga"
- goosebumps galore - especially when watching the videos for either
Depeche Mode - "Waiting For The Night"
- my favourite song ever. Stops me in my tracks and sends shivers up and down the spine
Strange how songs can have such an impact.

Agreed. I first heard of her on NPR when they played a plugged version of "Living With Ghosts." I bought the album, but it was unplugged. I've heard the other version one other time, here in Nashville.

'i've tried hard chrissy to understand
i'm a rider out tonight to case the promised land
baby when you're born with nothing in your hands
sometimes it's your only chance'
because i enjoy this version better then the original - also the live piano version on the box set is amazing
