Song IDs needed

Both of these are oldies:

#1- Got a ticket for an aeroplane,
ain't got time to take a fast train,
lonely days are gone,
Ima goin' home,
my baby, she wrote me a letter

#2- Sonny, thank you for the blah blah blah blah blah,
Sonny...

#3- Never My Love- who was the original band that did this?

The Letter was originally done by the Box Tops, featuring the highly overrated Alex Chilton.

Don't know about the others, but I've heard the Sonny one, I think.

Correct:

The Letter
by The Box Tops
(also covered in a *great* version by Joe Cocker
with Leon Russell and the Shelter People)
Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane,
I ain't got time to take a fast train.
Lonely days are gone, I'm a-goin' home,
'Cause my baby wrote me a letter.
I don't care how much money I gotta spend,
Got to get back to my baby,
Lonely days are gone, I'm a-goin' home,
'Cause my baby wrote me a letter.
Well, she wrote me a letter,
Said she couldn't live without me no more.
Listen, mister, can't you see I got to get back
To my baby once more--anyway...
Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane,
I ain't got time to take a fast train.
Lonely days are gone, I'm a-goin' home,
'Cause my baby wrote me a letter.

Also, The Association sounds right....

And with the great links you guys gave, I found:

Sunny
by Bobby Hebb
Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain.

Oh, the dark days are done, and the bright days are here,
My sunny one shines so sincere,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet.
Sunny, thank you for the love you've brought my way.

You gave to me your all and all,
Now I feel ten feet tall,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the truth you've let me see.
Sunny, thank you for the facts from A to Z.

My life was torn like wind blown sand,
Then a rock was formed when we held hands.
Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for that smile upon your face.
Sunny, thank you for that gleam that flows with grace.

You're my spark of nature's fire,
You're my sweet complete desire.
Sunny one so true, I love you.

Definitely, TDD, the Association did "Never My Love." My mom and I both knew that. Maybe because she forced me to listen to oldies growing up. It is a beautiful song, though.
