Another vote for Homogenic.. It is a wonderful album. Second in line would have to Post, IMO.

Homogenic - but only by a hair over Post.

"Joga" never ceases to send shivers up my spine. Achingly beautiful!

I am down for Post, and looking forward to her return next year stateside. She was nothing short of breathtaking in Oakland.

Although the show I saw around Post was better, much smaller venue, I think it was avalon in Boston, maybe Axis.

Post for me as well but I also like playing Telegram really, really loud. So loud the neighbors have not-so-kindly asked me to move to Iceland.

pardon the hijacking,

For someone who's only heard Bjork in one or 2 videos (me) which of her abums has the biggest 'big band' sound -- I think the one big band-style tune I especially enjoyed hearing was "It's Oh So Quiet" (off of the Post album?)

Is that her normal sound? What is the rest of Post like?

Wow.. Hmm.. I voted for Debut because I love to dance and the remixes for that CD are incredible. My real fave is Post. But my fave song is a tossup between Bachelorette on Homogenic and Play Dead from some movie soundtrack. Have you seen the video for Paegan Poetry? WOW!

From The Young Americans and it's Bjork and David Arnold.

Stellar stellar song, available on the UK Release of Debut If I recall.

No, that is the only song she did that was "big band" style. The song is "Oh So Quiet"

If that song is what you like about her you may not be into the rest of her stuff...but it's worth a try. I think her stuff is brilliant.

Heya paleblue,

thanks for the info. I'll keep my ears peeled and see if I can preview the rest of the Post album somewhere.
