Rock legends QUEEN to release several DVD's next year!

According to Queen's official web site, http://www.queenonline.com

a number of Queen DVD's will be released starting from next year.

The first DVD release will be the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert, set for release in April 2002.
The DVD will include rehearsal and backstage footage.

The only question is, will the DVD's be released in America OR will EMI/Parlophone (Queen's UK record company) make NTSC/Region free discs for American fans like they did with the 2 solo Freddie Mercury DVD's last year?

Why was this moved here? These are NOT DVD-Audio discs or CD's. This news is about DVD's and should be in the software forum.

The front page description includes the words: "Discuss digital music in all its forms". Yes, I guess I can see grounds for a semantic debate but that is all I am saying....

NB) I would tend to focus on the "Music Talk" part of the title and not really expect anything falling under that heading to be moved out of this forum.

YMMV.

(I wish I could pre-order this already, just to show how happy I am about this news.)

Not the Queen DVD title I was hoping for, but at least it's a start.

I really can't understand Queen's ignorance towards DVD, they make George Lucas look good.

And they always used to be on every video medium bandwagon going....anything to make a quick buck.

And why is it that soon as you post about a DVD that is nothing to do with a film, it gets moved.

There's more to DVD than The Godfather Trilogy or The Phantom Menace !

Moderator, Please put this thread back where it belongs, 'DVD-Audio' is NOT DVD as we are familiar with. This thread is about DVD, not DVD Audio.
