If we took out his, then they'd be reason to take out others who had very small roles in high grossing movies. Samuel L Jackson also only had cameos in some off the Marvel movies so hecould lose$1 billion if you don't count those. Kathy Bates had only a few scenes in Titanic, yet she gets a $600 million boost for being in that one. Lots of big well known acotrs on the list are getting their totals beefed u on thhe lfor having just small non leading roles in a number of movies.

I think Harison Ford is hurt the most on this list due to effects of inflation on ticket prices. At one point in time he was in six of the top ten highest grossing domestic movies of all time. He was one of the biggest stars in the 1980's and 1990's, but his movies from 2000 and up haven't grossed as much. Adjusting the list for inflation would likely get him in the #1 position.

The website I pulled this info from had a number of different lists based on different criteria. There was one just for leading role. Although leading role can be interpreted many ways. Did Guardians of the Galaxy have a "leading role" or was it more of an ensemble cast. The argument could be made for Chris Pratt, but most of the others got just as much screen time and most people weren't going to see him but to see a cgi character (though Vin Diesel gets credit for him).

Inflation likely hurts him. But, the list is also for "executive producer" and not director. I doubt most executive producers do much if anything. In Stans case it's unlikely he has any involvement in producing and it is more of an honorary thing with him and it could possibly be legally required for him to be listed with that title in every Marvel movie.

Jerry Bruckheimer is usually a producer, which is more prestigious and hands-on than an executive producer. More often than not, the credit of executive producer is a bullshit one, given to the likes of Stan Lee for doing next to nothing. The Best Picture Oscar always goes to the producers, not the executive producers.
