Poor James, he being owned by people on Twitter on his tweet on Confederate soldier statue being torn down. Some of the statues people posting on tweets on are awful.

James Woods retires from acting

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment...htmlstory.html

Here’s an excerpt

James Woods is retiring from the entertainment industry and news of his exit came in the most unusual of ways on Friday: through a press release related to a property he’s selling in Rhode Island.

The Oscar-nominated star’s news came via the real estate agent Allen Gammons, who is listing Woods’ Exeter, R.I., lake property, according to the Associated Press.

Gammons said the 70-year-old “Ray Donovan” alum wants to relax and simplify his life by selling his many real estate holdings on both coasts, the Providence Journal reported. He added that since Woods' brother and mother recently died, the veteran actor hopes to spend more time on passions including photography, antiquing and poker.

Re: James Woods retires from acting

At one point I thought he was one of the best at his craft, an amazing actor (Videodrome, Salvador, The Onion Field, OUATIA, Another Day in Paradise, Best Seller, Cop, The Boost, True Believer, Nixon).
Even in shitty movies he would still shine. Then 16 years ago he lost his mind...

I haven't seen him in a movie for awhile (Virgin Suicides from 2000 whatever is the last thing I remember), but do people hate him? I have some passing knowledge of him getting into a fight with some actress on twitter last week... Other than that I'm ignorant of any James Woods PR nightmare.

He goes pretty conserva-crazy on Twitter. Like 'we won, libtard snowflake' type stuff. If you like to cozy up and agree with Sean Hannity and crank it up to Rush Limbaugh, you'd probably like Woods' Twitter.

While 99% of Hollywood are crazy Liberals, it's refreshing to see a crazy Conversative out there too.

Re: James Woods retires from acting

If Woods' TV show "Shark" didn't get cancelled 10 years ago after 2 seasons, he could have made a decent transition to TV. That was like the perfect show for CBS. Law procedural with a relatively big name like James Woods. It could have gone at least 5-6 years. However, the writer's strike in it's 2nd season killed it.

I looked at his IMDB resume over the last decade and he hasn't really done much. Mostly low budget movies, TV and voice over work.

Patricia Heaton and Kelsey Grammer are openly conservative but I don't hear anyone question their sanity

There is being conservative and then there is being Dennis Miller nutjobbery. James Woods fits into that mold.

The same thing happened with Jon Voight, and yet he comes across as a sane individual. Could it be that unlike Woods, he doesn’t tweet wild conspiracy theories?
