That's why Tuesdays (valentines) sales of 50 Shades are doing so well.

The first John Wick opened soft because it was "That movie about a guy avenging his dog." it sounded fucking absurd

The first movie, and this one too, is absolutely absurd, and I love them both.

Wow. That was pretty spectacular. It starts off slowly, but man, it really hit its stride about halfway through. Some of the best action sequences I have seen in a movie ever. It gives you a far better look into the world he is involved with. The villain is somewhat lame but, you won't care about that because of how insane everything is.

Ending spoiler:
Spoiler:
the idea of him being on the run is fantastic way to set him up for a 3rd movie

I just got back from this and it was fucking fantastic! Man, just about everyone that gets killed by Wick gets it with a bullet to the head at close range. I also like that Wick is more of a grappler and Aikido fighter - he'd dirty in terms of hand to hand but when he has a weapon - he's smooth as silk. Good to see a lot of the supporting/minor characters from the first film in this one, too.

Oh, and the sound was phenomenal. The Blu-ray will definitely be demo material.

Man what a ride. Like the first one, the code/rules of the hitmen, the continental, etc aren't necessary in an action movie, but add so much more to the story, and elevates the action. The trend continues here.

Brutal brutal action. Remember that training video Keanu Shredding? That was training for the mid movie sequence and holy shit. Keanu's speed with shooting and reloading, is amazing.

Bring on the 3rd one - John Wick VS the world.

John Wick 2...delivers on every conceivable level. more of the same, yes please! so orgasmic in it's poetic carnage. loved the expansion of his "world", while keeping story simple. just gunfu at its greatest level. loved it!

Well, pretty much what everyone has said. I did get a kick out of the cameo. Nice to see them together again.

I can't imagine how insane John Wick 3 will be. Dude gets no rest.

The guy that wrote "The Complete Idiots Guide to Bridge: Third Edition" did not care for this movie one bit.

Re: John Wick: Chapter 2 (Stahelski, 2017) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Enjoyed this one overall. I will say that I feel the story was a bit more complicated than it needed to be regarding the assassins organization. I also found some of the action a bit repetitive after the first shoot out, but hey, that's why I went to the movie in the first place. I really liked the finale in the room full of mirrors , that was innovative, as was the "silent shootout" between Wick and Cassian. My only real issue is that the end was obvious sequel baiting. I would love another one, but I really don't see what they could do at this point to keep it looking fresh. Liked the little mini-reunion of Neo and Morpheus as well. Franco Nero was a welcome surprise as well, hopefully he and McShane get to share some screentime in the next one.

On a sidenote, if Stahleski is still attached to do the Deadpool sequel, I'm fairly optimistic. He can bring the action while Reynolds brings the laughs.

I think it comes down to, don't take your grand parents to this movie if they don't enjoy violence.

Can't wait for the sequel. Like that they still kept most action in New York. But where in the hell in ny is there that clean that white train station?? Only minor thing, but like bits in Rome. It was just enough and didn't get into that sequel trend where things got to be in exotic cities around the world. That line about Wick being there for Pope was great...

What a fucking awesome sequel... absolutely loved it and I want more NOW. lol

What a world they created and I want to learn more. How it started, how they stay in business and a thousand more I can think of.

Keanu does it again with another "franchise". =)

Cool flick. I'm guessing the producers are fans of ETD and WOTD?

Tried to see this on Friday and on Saturday, both times it was sold out though it only had four showings. Then I stopped at the mall and overheard a bunch of people talking about how much they wanted to see it. I won't be amazed if this opens around $30 million.
