These days i groan when i hear that Depp is attached to a movie. The guy used to be a fantastic actor that chose interesting roles, but these days he is just an OTT freak that likes dress up and acting like a tit.
Oh, and the original Sleuth was an amazing movie. The remake not so much. I also have a soft spot for Deathtrap with Michael Caine. He and Chris Reeves were excellent in that.

I read the article in EW. Glad that he's racially and ethnically diversifying the cast up a bit. Also, they reference that since Depp is playing the character who gets murdered in the book, we may have a different murder victim this time -- interesting.
He also said he is looking at playing Poirot again in more films.

I'm actually looking forward to this. Really hope it's done well.
But Josh Gad? Really? Ugh.
Other than him, I like the cast (even with Depp aboard - because he can deliver when directed properly). Love Olivia Colman in this. Much like Margo Martindale, she's a VERY underrated actress.

However, the best thing he did while filming this movie was to create a series of videos aimed at Daisy Ridley to reveal secrets for Star Wars: Episode VIII using some of the cast for MotOE. Check it out on his Twitter feed.

The victim is mostly inconsequential. Just like most "who done its", it's about the suspects.
