People gave up on Bruno too quickly. If It Don't Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger showed dramatic creative growth and studio innovation the likes of which could be heralded as a 1990 Pet Sounds, of sorts, and such as

I like some of the Bus Boys stuff.

Nothing great, but good, solid Rock and Roll. Their guitarist in the 80's was Vic Johnson, who has been Sammy Hagar's guitar player for the last 19 or so years...

What exactly is "The Boys of Summer" about anyway?

It's about a guy and a girl and a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac. He's going to still love her even after the fleeting crushes have left with the changing season.

This is funnier than any joke in any of the Ghostbusters movies.

Took the wife and 8 year old daughter to see the original film today at a theater. We all loved seeing it again on a big screen. Pretty good crowd, too.

But how many of them were expecting the new film?

I bought a case of 12 Ecto Coolers like two weeks ago.
I've only drank 2 of them.

I'm not sure I can drink the rest. Blech.

Yeah, my wife and I went too. Theater was about 3/4 full, which was kind of surprising to me (I wasn't expecting many at all). Very fun movie to watch with a crowd, it was my first time seeing it on the big screen. I agree with a previous post that the book stacking joke is hysterical every time. Kind of disappointed in Fathom's "special look at the new Ghostbusters." It was basically just trailer footage, with a short interview with Feig. I thought there would be more unseen stuff.

As a kid I remember liking it. I know I borrowed it from the public library all the time.

I am sure that the only reason Murray agreed to a cameo and is promoting it is because its the best way to get Akroyd off his back about appearing in Ghsotbusters 3. For the last 20 years i have been reading reports on a regular basis that Dan is ready to go for part 3 and they are trying to convince Bill to take part. Bill tried getting him off his back by saying he might appear if he could die in the movie and come back as a ghost.....Dan does some quick changes and once again pushes it on Bill. Its obvious Bill Murray never wanted to appear in another one of these films, but he feels this is the lesser of two evils.

Shame as as i loved the first movie and even found the second to be pretty fun.

I know this movie will be horrible and nothing i have seen so far has shown me otherwise.

They sure seem to be capitalizing on ruining men's childhoods. They bring it up in every interview that I've seen. Not sure if the strategy is to drive people away more or trying to cash in on being somewhat controversial.

I'd say the second one because that's the only thing this unnecessary remake has going for it.

^ Yep.

Oh, and my 2 cents on the soundtrack (which is overpriced as it is anyway), I... kind of like it.

I have both of them on my iPod (yeah, people still use 'em).

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

Here's a weird one. Paul Feig apparently did this recent appearance/press conference where he asked the female stars to use him as a door mat and step on his balls for a photo op. Utterly bizarre. There's no way the finished film can be anywhere near as entertaining as watching its marketing.

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

Does Sony honestly think alienating the largest part of the audience that has kept Ghostbusters alive for more than 30 years is going to work?

Re: Ghostbusters (2016, D: Feig)

All the ladies needed in that video was to brandish "Male Tears" mugs and flip the bird while doing their rendition. This is the strangest marketing for a movie I've ever seen.

I would have thought seeing the director of this film get his nuts squashed would have made certain people happy, not angrier.

Looks like the marketing is going to be funnier (and far more bizarre) than the movie itself.
