My thought process -- Had another person given either answer, I would agree with you. Since nobody else gave either answer it didn't change anything. Dooku was just wrong.

We'll get to the Batmobile debate in a bit ...
My opinion is this counts as Correct Unique. I specifically asked if you wanted a character description or a movie for this question and you said you'd accept either.

Though Stan is credited as "Willie Lumpkin" in Fantastic Four I won't hold that against you Dooku. However, he was a mailman not a doorman. +3 for you.

Was I the only one who selected Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four?

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep: Sheeperhero Edition

Real surprised that only one person picked Willie the Mailman. Wasn't he a recurring character in the comics that actually helped the Fantastic Four on occasion?
He was one of the two names I could think of for Stans cameos, the other being Hefner, but the only one I could actually remember the movie it was from.

He was definitely a recurring character in the comics, and definitely a mailman. But I think Decker's quotes show that the name of the movie should be an adequate description for Dooku's answer.

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep: Sheeperhero Edition

My personal opinion on the Stan Lee question is that I would have been very liberal with what I counted as correct if this were my game. Unless you expect that every single player is using google, then it's not reasonable to expect them to get the cameo roll exactly right.

I was tempted to say the dad in Big Hero 6, but thought that might not have counted.

There is precedent though for marking an answer wrong for being too specific though. It depends on the sheepmaster and his preferences. I think Count Dooku got marked wrong because he specified a part Stan did not actually play, whereas if he had just said "Fantastic Four", he would have been marked correct unique.

Yeah, the rules specified no animated movies.

You may not cheat by using Google, Wikipedia, etc. Use only what's in your head.

Everybody playing this game knows that Stan Lee has made a cameo in every Marvel movie, so the trick of the question was to describe his appearance the chosen movies in some identifiable manner.

I did not cheat on this question.

I remembered that Stan met Reed Richards as he was going to the elevator in his apartment building (in NYC) and handed him a package and addressed him by name.

While the photo clearly shows Stan is the postman, it is absolutely understandable why I would describe that character as the doorman.

I would submit that your insistence that I correctly identify the cameo so specifically violates the General Rules of the Game as laid out in the first post and which I have quoted above.

I completely agree. I am not playing so my opinion shouldn't count, but since he only has one cameo per movie, the movie title should be sufficient in my opinion. I'm just surprised that only one person came up with that answer.

I was going to say Guy witnessing missile launch in "X-Men Apocalypse" but didn't think that would have been unique. Dammit.

Fun fact -- before he was the Fantastic Four's mailman, he was the star of a brief, unsuccessful comic strip written by Stan and drawn by Dan DeCarlo (DeCarlo was the Archie artist in the 50s and 60s, basically defining the way those characters looked).

Since everybody knows that Stan has made a cameo in every Marvel movie, the idea that you could answer just by giving a movie title seemed ridiculous to me.

Such an answer would not require that you actually REMEMBER anything about Stan's cameo.

Re: Movie Talk (Reverse) Sheep: Sheeperhero Edition

He has not been in every Marvel movie. The first answer which was marked wrong is an example of that. There are several more.

Some Examples:

Howard the Duck
Blade Trilogy
All Punisher Films
Both Ghost Rider Films
Elektra
X-Men First Class
Both Wolverine Movies
X-Men DOFP
