After The Guest, I'm game to watch anything Wingard does.

Yeah. I liked what You're Next tried to do more than what it accomplished, but at least it was interesting. I loved The Guest.

I swear, Brad says the same thing about every new horror movie just to get his name on top of the pull quotes.

The trailer isn't all that promising. I haven't adored anything Wingard has done, but we'll see. Maybe this will be the one.

Not to mention he's produced three of Wingard's films (VHS, VHS 2, A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE)

I think the trailer would have come off a lot better if they used this instead:

Trailer gave me a 'The Descent' vibe. Can't wait to check it out.

for real. that's the kind of shit they said about the The VVitch and there really wasn't much good about that movie except maybe Black Phillip playing Voldemort's spirit animal.

Although any nudity is welcome which Book of Shadows had several nice scenes of.

Re: Blair Witch (2016, D: Adam Wingard)

I was interested in this before I knew it was connected to the Blair Witch, now I'm really excited!

Despite the grief it gets today, The Blair Witch Project is one of the most unsettling (in a good way) movie watching experiences I've ever had. Much like Jaws did for the ocean, the BWP did for camping!

Am I the only one that liked the sequel? It wasn't great as a sequel, but as a little horror film I enjoyed it at least as much as the original.

But I'm in for this one for sure.

I was into the movie. Deep. When that scene with Mike in the basement went down..that freaked me out. Then the exit hallway was lined with children's handprints and stick figures. Nice touch, theater. Nice touch.

No. The only thing I liked about the movie sequel non-sequel was Kim Director. She has great tits.

Same! When I first saw the trailer for the film I couldn't wait to see this film. Also honestly, I will watch anything that Wingard & Barrett are involved in.

A few of the reviews that have trinkled out have given the film a lot of praise.

Yes, I liked the sequel quite a bit...it was different, which not all sequels are. And it was well-directed. I've appreciated it more over the years.

As for THIS new movie...I'm not quite sure. I got really excited when I heard this was a new Blair Witch movie...then really depressed when I saw today's new trailer - doesn't look that great.

The original scared the ever loving shit out of me the first time I saw it, and the positive word of mouth around this one is very exciting. I can not wait.

I was working for Suncoast when BWP came out. We did an after-work socializer and the whole staff went to see it together. We were about 50/50 as far as loving it or hating it. Anyway, that night I made the stick figure and in the morning hung it in the front display window before my co-workers arrived. Freaked two of them out to the point I started making little ones and leaving them around the store. That went on for weeks ... On the desk, in the bathroom, on store shelves (a few customers tried to buy them), in the cash register ... It was awesome.

So ... Was this Blair Witch all along? Or is it being worked in and changed?
