Average Rating: 7.7/10
Reviews Counted: 28
Fresh: 27
Rotten: 1

Critics Consensus: Fast, funny, and gleefully profane, the fourth-wall-busting Deadpool subverts superhero film formula with wildly entertaining -- and decidedly non-family-friendly -- results.

I'm ready for this! Sadly my kid won't be able to see it for quite a few years.

Keep the reviews coming.

Saw this movie last week. Great movie. Think of it more as a spoof of superhero movies. Lots of sexual references, so not one you would want to bring young kids to see. Everyone in the theater started cheering when Stan Lee made his cameo appearance.

Don't remember seeing too much blood in it. They were going more for laughs so I don't think they were really trying to be realistic with the bloody scenes.

Five minutes till showtime. Theater here has multiple showings tonight, and the theater is pretty full for a 7:45 showing. Nice to see a "superhero" crows without a bunch of little kids for a change.

Re: Deadpool (Tim Miller, 2016) — The Reviews Thread — SPOILERS

Had a really good time watching it. Don't have a lot of criticism other than the story being a little weak, but I think it was purposely done as almost a spoof of the "origin story." The movie is a comedy first (for the most part anyway) and a comic book movie second. Reynolds was born to play this character, and I hope the tracking is correct and it has a good opening. And of course this probably goes without saying, but stay for the end credits.

Re: Deadpool (Tim Miller, 2016) — The Reviews Thread — SPOILERS

Perfect. Just perfect. Saw it in IMAX with a big crowd. Lots of applause at the end. Pretty diverse crowd, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Especially Stan's cameo in the strip club.

The film earned its R rating and then some. So many hilarious inside jokes. The Wolverine Origins toy, asking if Xavier was Stewart or McAvoy, no budget for other X-Men, the list goes on and on.

Now give me Dolph Lundgren as Cable!

Re: Deadpool (Tim Miller, 2016) — The Reviews Thread — SPOILERS

I hope this makes bank at the BO this weekend. The marketing has been crazy. Seemingly very single commercial break on Comedy Central this week has had at TV spot for Deadpool.
