At what point did good looking Al Pacino turned to an ugly vulture?
When Al Pacino was much younger he was very good looking. Then as he got older he turned to a totally different person. It's like he morphed to something horrific in terms of appearance.
I understand as people get old they change but his change was so drastic.
Sean Connery as he got older still was good looking and so was Paul Newman.
So what happened?

I question the premise of the thread that Al Pacino was "very good looking" when he was young, especially compared to someone like Paul Newman.

Well his facial structure was very defined. Plus all the ladies in my family always commented how good looking and sexy he was. I had a landlord lady that all she talked about was Pacino.

Besides a bad tan, he looks fine. I mean what do you expect, the guy is 75 years old for crying out loud.
he looks fine for 75.
Had you said Marlon Brando, I might have agreed. Not Pacino though.

The better question would have been: Did Malcolm McDowell age overnight? It seems like one day he was young baby faced red hair Malcolm McDowell, then suddenly he was bald white hair old man Malcolm McDowell. Its tough to pinpoint when this occured. Or maybe I just haven't seen many of his late 80's early 90's movies.

Yep ... I'll take looking like Al when I'm 75 no problems.
That's the one that's always struck me. Yeah, there was a brief transitional phase. But from mid 80s to mid 90s, he aged about 30 years. But then he kind of stayed looking in the 65-70 year old appearance for the last 20 years, so I guess it's balancing out

Yeah it was always surprising to me too, but actually it's earlier. This is him from a 1987 movie called The Caller:
This was him in 1983's Get Crazy
So basically, his early 40s were fucking rough on him

I think Leonardo DiCaprio's aging is more strange. It seems like his head is getting bigger and his neck shorter.

Granted, I do think Pacino did have a facelift or two in his lifetime. I think he looks good in Devil's Advocate and there's no way that was CGI. Maybe make-up but Donnie Brasco opened around the same time and he looks totally different there. It's definitely NOT all styling.

Also, not every actor ages. James Dean has looked exactly the same since the day he filmed East of Eden.

Mel Gibson has not aged well...must be all the rants and racism:

The great thing about EXPENDABLES 3 was seeing Gibson and Ford aging naturally, while Stallone and Schwarzenegger looked like mannequins thanks to either Botox or plastic surgery. Real men don't get work done.

I would watch a movie with a aging Pacino any day over some loser like Channing Tatum who some people think he is the most handsome guy in movies right now.
With those ears can he fly?
Pacino looked kind of like Matthew Broderick when he was younger
