Rogue Nation was by far my favorite sequel. The more people involved in from that the better.

I'm in, can't wait to see what crazy stunt Tom Cruise does this time. The only thing I want to change is the spoilers during the opening credits, never liked those.

I've been lukewarm on this series since the get-go, but I watched Rogue Nation recently and it blew me away. Much better than the plot-less Ghost Protocol that seemed to only exist to showcase three big action sequences.

Pegg was a great add to the series.

Sooo, we should call them sequencemen instead of stuntmen now? Did McQuarrie just piss off an entire union of stunt people?

Maybe not a stunt as it pertains to Cruise.

I do kind of wish they'd get a different director just to keep the different flavor of each installment (or bring back Brad Bird), but on the other hand, McQuarrie did a solid job last time out. So I'm torn.

That is how I feel too. But because RN was my favorite of the sequels, I am OK with it.

I'm looking forward to this one, but I would be more than fine with it being the final installment of the franchise.

Why, has there been talk this could be the last one? McQuarrie did an outstanding job, there's no reason why he shouldn't do it again. This franchise and his contribution is far from stale.

Tom Cruise injured during stunt

Tom Cruise was injured during a building-jumping stunt on the set of "Mission Impossible 6."

The 55-year-old actor was in London Sunday when he attempted to leap from a rigging onto a building but he fell short of the mark and hit the building pretty hard.

You see Cruise try to limp away and then collapse. He then limps back to the edge of the building and and is pulled away by crew members on the safety team.

We don't know the extent of his injuries

Tom Cruise breaks two bones, halts production of Mission: Impossible 6 for four months

https://www.yahoo.com/movies/tom-cru...080331085.html

Tom Cruise’s failed stunt on the set of ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ has resulted in two broken bones and a delay to production that could stretch to four months, according to reports.

The star was jumping from one roof to another on the set of the movie in London, but mistimed the manoeuvre, breaking bones in his ankle.

In video captured of the incident at Blackfriars on Sunday, Cruise leaps the gap, grabs on to a ledge, and then pulls himself up, before limping off.

An insider told The Sun: “The injury is worse than was at first feared. Tom did serious damage and will need months to recover.

“He is the film’s biggest star and everything revolves around him. The movie’s bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming.”

It’s thought that Cruise will have to head back to the US for treatment, and that the injury will likely cause months of delays and rescheduling.

It could also affect the planned release date of July 27, 2018.

Cruise has become known for performing his own stunts in his movies, and notably in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series.

In fact, the elaborate and often dangerous set-pieces Cruise performs have become something of a calling card, with Cruise trying to out-do himself for each new movie.

He was filmed hanging from the outside of an Airbus 400 as it takes off in ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’.

Then for ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’, he was seen scaling the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Though this latest stunt was positively pedestrian by comparison, whether studios will continue to insure him for stunt work following the incident remains to be seen.

‘Mission: Impossible 6’, which is so far un-suffixed, is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and also stars Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett and Alec Baldwin.
