Re: Baywatch (D: Gordon; S: The Rock)
Zac Efron is in talks to join Dwayne Johnson in Paramount’s “Baywatch” comedy, which is based on the 1990s TV show.
Seth Gordon will direct the movie. Johnson will also produce the pic along with his partner Dany Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions banner. Montecito Pictures and Beau Flynn are producing as well, while Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonnan will exec produce.
Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the latest draft of the script.
Although plot details are currently vague, sources close to the project reveal that the studio is taking a comedic route with the film. Production is expected to start in early 2016.
Efron has become a box office draw over the last few years, with 2014’s “Neighbors” hauling $150.2 million in the U.S. ($268.2 million worldwide).
Efron just wrapped production on the Chernin comedy “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” opposite Adam Devine and Anna Kendrick. He can be seen next in the Warner Bros. DJ pic “We Are Your Friends.”
He is repped by CAA and Alchemy Entertainment.

I like Efron and The Rock, not a huge fan of Gordon's movie comedy output.

Efron seems to be following the Channing Tatum trajectory. So far, so good.

I have been wonder about who will be the women will they cast. Plus there are two other things I hope to see, there needs to be montages. I will always remember Baywatch by how well they did music montages. They should shoot it like its soft core porn, and if its going to be rated R maybe they will.

A hint at some of the woman who might be in the movie. I don't know any of them, and no Pam Anderson Cameo. It needs to deliver the goods if its going to be rated R.

and why get a brunette to play the blond? just get an actual blond; this isn't shakespeare on the beach (although that could be awesome).
or just have someone say "your hair looks different..." and get on with it.
also, sophie turner is also being considered but no mention of alexandra daddario? casting director needs to step it up.

From top left: Tontz, Daddario, Hennig, Santos, Benson, Shipp & Dobrev
EXCLUSIVE: Paramount Pictures is ready to dive in with its long-gestating movie transfer of the global hit TV series Baywatch. It already set Seth Gordon to direct and Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron to play the male leads. Now, they’ve set a short list of actresses who will test for the female lead. Here are the names I hear: Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas, Percy Jackson), Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars, Elvis & Nixon), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Alexandra Shipp (Straight Outta Compton, X-Men Apocalypse), Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf), Bianca Santos (The Duff) and Denyse Tontz (Big Time Rush).

Baywatch was an ensemble cast, all of those women look great for this movie. I hope more than one of them is cast.

Daddario is a natural pick for Baywatch due to certain attributes, but I agree, it should be multiple individuals

Daddario and Dobrev are my picks... then Benson.

Re: Baywatch (D: Gordon) S: The Rock, Efron
Daddario needs to be C.J (Pam Anderson). She's a bottle of sun-in away from being perfect for the role.

After watching a few clips of Dadarrio on youtube, I agree she needs to be in this movie, I havent seen San Andreas yet. My two other choices would Nina Dobrev and Bianca Santos. I always liked her on Degrassi and The Duff is a pretty good movie.

Going by interviews, Alexandra Daddario seems like she wants to be taken kind of seriously. If she is cast in this movie, I don't think she cares anymore, lol.
