Any way you could post it with a spoiler tag? Don't really want to watch Marked Ones.

^thank you! I think that plot alone has more worth than anything part 4 did.

Meh.

I felt it was extremely forced and didn't feel organic. It felt as if they needed a way to tie it into the rest of the films. It was cool to see certain characters over again, but it increased the problem that the franchise creates more questions than answers.

I'd argue the Saw franchise felt more "thought out" even if the writers were making it up as they were going along through the entries.

Re: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015, Plotkin)

After hearing the commentary on the first disc that the doctor had nothing to do with it and was basically dead, then turning up in the last one to do what he did, that kind of killed it for me. While it did feel a bit forced (and stupid as I hate time travel in my horror films) it at least served a purpose unlike 4.

Cool, just remember Hulu is still Stereo whereas Amazon is 5.1.

Ah, also good to know. But I'm watching it on my second TV which is only stereo anyway.

And apparently Amazon Prime doesn't offer Chromecast support, which is a shame. That's how I watch movies and shows on my spare TV. Once I upgrade my Roku 3 I'll move that one to the second TV, but that may not be for a while because at the moment I don't have a need to upgrade my Roku 3.

My BD player doesn't indicate the resolution or Audio format of what I'm watching when I'm watching AIV. It's annoying. Should've gone with the Samsung.

You can download an extension in Chrome (and I think Firefox) which lets you use AIV on Chromecast. If there's a workaround on the iPhone, someone let me know. I use my BD player for most of my streaming, but it can't stream certain apps like the premium channel, Crunchyroll, etc, so I bought Chromecast for that because it was the cheapest option. TV only has two HDMI ports, so I have to keep switching it out. First world problems. If only there were a one-size-fits-all option, but hey, life goes on.

Sounds like you have a great excuse to buy an PS3, PS4 or Xbox One.

That's a good theory, but the player is region-free, and unfortunately, I don't think they make a game console which is. I guess I could get one of those modded too.

I just watched The Marked Ones on Hulu.

Spoiler:
Early in the film when they get Anna's book, they read a page saying that the witches can travel from unholy place to unholy place through time and space, right? So the kid accidentally travels from one unholy place (the grandma's house from PA3) to another (Katie's house in PA), as well as possibly traveling through time?

Given the shot of the doorway in the daughter's room in the trailer for the new movie, it sounds like this particular plot point will be a significant element in the new film.

Yeah you guys are all Carmike and Regal. But hey, you can see Jem and the Holograms!

From the maps it looks like NCG Gallatin Cinemas is the cloest for ya.

It has to be, they ran the well dry on everything else but also...I think it's a great idea as it would be really cool if
Spoiler:
they traveled back through every film

Ouch, sitting at 14% on RT. Are they still calling it the final one? I thought I saw that mentioned on one of the first previews that came out.
