I like the goofy poster. I mean, at this point, 5 spiderman movies later, you need to bring something new to the table. strip him down, make him young, cocky, goofy, corny... go with it.

And these posters pretty much convey the vibe of how the movie will be. Different, but pretty cool.

I like the goofy poster. I don't like (ironically enough) that it looks like a comic book cover. I'd rather see a "real" rendition of the same thing. Or go full on comic book and make it look like an actual cover.

Not a fan of this middle ground look.

I'm surprised the Avengers tower is being so prominently featured. I guess the Sony-Marvel-Disney relationship is jumping from cuddling to full penetration.

In keeping with white-flight, I thought they moved upstate?

The teasers for trailers just need to go away.

Because it's a comic book?

So glad to see the tower prominently featured. One of my favorite things about Marvel comics is when they include references to other comics, especially since so many of them share NYC as a location.

Eh, it's just a way to announce that the trailer is coming out soon. Better than a press release, I think. And I don't even watch them, which is very easy to do.

I hate teasers for trailers too. I'd kind of prefer if they'd just drop unexpectedly instead of trying to hype it up beforehand. Its not like people aren't going to see it if they do it that way and really I don't see what the benefit is in making people wait it out rather than just dropping it.

I hate those stupid teaser for Trailers too because I think is the real trailer and get all exited and then is just a few seconds and I say fuckkk
Then when the real trailer drops i already forgot about it or if i see the thumbnail i think is the same stupid teaser.
Then someone tells me have you seen the trailer and then i go "oh this time is for reals?"
Then i watch it

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming (MCU reboot) (7/7/2017 - D: Jon Watts) S: Tom Holland

Spoilers...
Spoiler:
If you really want a quick summary
Spoiler:
There's been some reshoots, so not sure if they kept this narrative intact as it felt 'meh'
Spoiler:
I thought the film was ok, from a screening back in January. No origin story. It starts off with Keaton as a contractor for hire to do clean up after the events in the first Avengers film. He's kicked out because the gov realizes that people shouldn't have their hands on the Alien tech. He steals the last pile of Chitauri tech and has the Tinkerer build a bunch of weapons for sale to the highest bidder.

We find Peter going to Germany to fight in Civil War. When he comes back he can keep the suit, but is told to keep a low profile. Happy in in charge of looking after him. My problem is that he's in a gifted learning school where everyone is supposed to be smarter. so we don't get a sense that he's super smart. Flash isn't a jock and is almost the similar to Kevin the math club guy in Mean Girls. Aunt May has one supportive scene, but she's the butt of the long running gag, "Your Aunt is Hot." Is Liz in the comics? I know her mostly from the cartoon series. Can you guess who her father is? Stark has to save Peter after his first encounter with Vulture. Gives him a warning, then the Washington Monument thing (which I think is weird to have Web Head battling outside of NY) and then Stark takes away his suit. Moping, still goes out in his old homemade suit and uncovers everything, goes to Happy and gets the suit back and then it's the final battle with Stark as Iron Man helping. Again, too many people know Peter is Spider-man. In the end, they were about to introduce Spider-man as an Avenger, but Peter realizes that he's not that ready yet. So instead, Tony proposes to Pepper. Appearances by Bokeem as the Shocker, and Michael Mando possibly being the Scorpion. Not sure who Donald Glover is supposed to be as he was a stoner guy buying weapons and he didn't want the Vulture tech, he just wanted some normal guns.

Really? Wouldn't that be like having Superman pinning a Daily Planet press credential to his suit?
