I'm also hoping very much that Jake Gyllenhaal gets an Actor nomination for Nightcrawler. It also might have a good shot at a Screenplay nomination.

It should clean up in the technical categories, but that's probably it. I'm expecting Gone Girl to land a nom for BP, Director, Pike for Actress/Supp. Actress, Editing, Cinematography, Adapted Screenplay.

From Variety:
The last item is nice to hear. I've met her. It's nice she's getting some recognition for her decades of service. She worked closely with Larry Kardish at MOMA for the longest time.
The New York Film Critics Circle named “Boyhood” the best film of 2014, with the film also scoring honors for director Richard Linklater and supporting actress Patricia Arquette.
Other acting awards went to Marion Cotillard for her work in two films, “The Immigrant” and “Two Days, One Night” (best actress), as well as to Timothy Spall for “Mr. Turner” (best actor) and J.K. Simmons in “Whiplash” (supporting actor).
Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel” took the trophy for screenplay, and Jennifer Kent’s “The Babadook” won NYFCC’s award for first film. Other honors went to Laura Poitras’ Edward Snowden documentary “Citizenfour,” Pawel Pawlikowski’s Polish film “Ida” and “The Lego Movie.” Darius Khondji won the cinematography award for “The Immigrant.”
NYFCC gave a special award to Adrienne Mancia, the former film curator at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

I don't think a lot of people know about Foxchaser yet. I'm a movie guy and had to look it up when I read the "Steve Carrel" post. Wasn't sure if it was a snarky or serious post.

Considering these guys know about Still Alice, I'm pretty sure they know Foxcatcher. It just isn't getting the love I'm sure they were hoping for.

So according to the NBOR, How to Train Your Dragon 2 was the best animated feature of 2014. However, The Lego Movie (but not HTTYD2) made the cut for the top 10 overall.
