Films which feel longer than they are.

I was thinking when I watched Seven Samurai in 35mm a couple of months ago how the film's large runtime simply flew by. This got me thinking, what are some other films which, though short, seem endless. A Good Day to Die Hard comes to my mind. 97 minutes which seemed like so much more. What else? Particularly fairly short films?

Neighbors felt way longer than 97 minutes.
Godzilla felt 3 hours long.
Blue Is The Warmest Color felt like it ran for double its massive length.

I know the OP wanted fairly short movies to be listed and Transformers: Age of Extinction has a very lengthy run time to begin with but its the last movie I watched where I wanted to yell "Fucking end already!" at the screen. It's feels sooooo long!

Right before I got a DVR, Layer Cake was the last movie I watched where I couldn't forward through the commercials (On IFC) That easily felt like a 3-hour watch.

Interstellar. I think I aged more than Murphy watching that film.

I was astonished Trainspotting was only 90 mins. It felt like I'd been in the theater for well over 2 hours (not in a bad way, I wasn't getting antsy, it just felt like a long journey). I attribute this to the overwhelming amount of material packed into the movie (much of it harrowing). I can think of few movies that get more mileage per minute than Trainspotting.

I've made it through longer movies in 1 viewing (Satantango,The Sorrow and the Pity) But BITWC took me 2 days to complete.

A recent one I can think of is Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Its only 102 minutes but it seemed to drag on and on. Granted the film wasn't great to begin with but I was pretty impatient with it about halfway through.

I saw a shitty movie called Smile a few years back about a girl born with a cleft Pallate coming to the US for a surgery. It was so poorly done and felt like it was 8 hours long.
Zorro 2 also felt really long. More like Bore-o.

I totally agree with this. I put myself through the horror of watching this piece of crap and it seemed to never end. I had high hopes for the Transformers movies and they started off really bad and have broken through the bottom of the barrel and are somewhere close to a suburb just outside Sydney right now. Watching Marky Mark try to act is painful. That goddam squeaky voice.
And someone mentioned Trainspotting. I remember going to see this at the theater when it originally came out and it was sooooooooooooooo long. Its a great movie, but something to watch at home rather than at the cinema. The exact same thing happened with Heat. It seemed to drag at the cinema (but worth it all just for the street shoot out after the heist). It is a 3 hour movie, but it really came across as chore at the time. I have watched it repeated times at home and its really a brilliant classic, but initially it felt overly long.

I felt like Django felt 2hr 45m long. For me that movie flies by until Waltz exits the picture.

Return of the King. Long movie but the "end" alone felt like hours. It just didn't want to end.
