Barry,

That article from SciFi Wire sounds interesting, but I think given that 1) DC Comics is extremely protective of their copyrights and 2) due to an unusual agreement with the estate of William Molton Marston (the creator of Wonder Woman), don't expect drastic changes in the WW costume design if they decide to do a movie version of the character.

Simon Kinberg (he’s the fellow who did those uncredited rewrites for “Catwoman” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”) has probably had time to turn in his draft of the “X-Men 3” script.

please tell me this guy isn't really going to be writing x3. i wouldn't want to be credtied for writing catwoman or chalies angels 2 either.

i don't see monica as wonder woman either. she's supposed to be hard and athletic not soft an vulumptuous. she had cottage cheese in her upper arms in a pic in mature awhile back. i can't get behind that.

It's Wonder Woman, not Wonder Teen. Monica would make a good choice. Regardless, maybe this discussion should head back to the 'who should play her' threads.

Latest Wonder Woman movie rumors

No offense but Bassinger is wayyyy too old. If they are going to go old, might as well cast Lynda Carter.

Basinger the Wonder Woman frontrunner

The eternally spunky Kim Basinger - most recently seen in, what I thought was junk, "Cellular" - is Producer Joel Silver's first-choice to play "Wonder Woman" in the forthcoming pic, says The New York Post.

Silver wants Basinger to play a more mature Wonder Woman. If the studio ultimately doesn't go for his aged-superheroine idea, he's also fancying "Blade Trinity" babe Jessica Biel.

"Kim would be used if Wonder Woman is older, Jessica is if she's younger," an insider tells.

The paper also states that Joss Whedon is in talks to write the film. No mention of him directing though.

I seem to remember posting this at least once before in another Wonder Woman thread, but here is my vote again: Bridget Moynahan.

Note: Not my artwork.

That pic keeps getting posted - I think you're attached to her and that pic because she's already dressed up. Personally, I don't see anything special about her. Is she a model or something? Can she even act?

from the other WW thread.
Dark horizons rumors... I laugh at them. No way will SMG be cast as buffy. Like the above article said it.. a 99 pound amazon women.. No fuck'n way.

Monica seems like the perfect choice.

the defense rest.

Is Monica capable of dropping the accent? She certainly looks the part, and she's a good actress, but I can't imagine Wonder Woman with an italian accent, and I've never heard her without it. I've only seen a few of her films, but most of her films aren't english language to begin with. Of course, if she can speak fluent, er, American, or whatever you'd call it, she would be a good choice.

Wonder Woman is an amazonian. Why would it be so far fetched to believe she has an accent of a sort?
