Respectable movies with "fanservice" scenes
What are some respectable movies that feature seemingly gratuitous underwear/nudity/fanservice sequences?
I'm not talking about sexploitation or low budget horror flicks, but genuinely respectable and revered movies where a "fanservice" scene pops up unexpectedly.
A couple of examples:
Alice Eve in "Star Trek: Into Darkness"
Sigourney Weaver in "Alien"
Princess Leia in "Return of the Jedi"
and Melanie Griffith vacuuming topless in "Working Girl"
Any others?

Steve Reeves in Ed Wood's Jailbait...for no particular reason, he enters the scene with his shirt off:

"Fan service" is something different. That's when you include something as a wink and nod to the fans, like the original Human Torch on display at the World's Fair in Captain America.

I'm not sure the STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS scene is "fan service". If anything, that was just teenage boy service...most Trekkies/Trekkers hated that.
I think instead of "fan service" you just meant something gratuitous.
A "Fan service" scene would be like the one in MAVERICK where Mel Gibson and Danny Glover seem to recognize one another.

The concept seems to have broadened to include in-jokes and references, but the general intent of fan service seems more consistent with the OP's post.
Unless, of course, the original Human Torch makes you horny.

It doesn't fit into the OP's criteria as it's not "respectable" but I don't think any discussion about fan service is complete without mentioning Samuel L. Jackson yelling "I'm tired of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!"

All of Species, which was basically a movie for people too self-conscious to rent softcore porn. Big cast, cool FX, all in the service of what's basically an exploitation movie.
Any scenes with female "characters" in Michael Bay films.

I don't remember the characters in SPECIES climbing Mount Everest, traveling to the Arctic, or discovering America.

Re: Respectable movies with "fanservice" scenes
Of course, this is the definition as spawned from anime viewers and japanese folks.
"fan service
In general, fan service refers to scenes designed to excite or titillate the viewer. This can include scantily-clad outfits, cleavage shots, panty shots, nude scenes (shower scenes especially), etc. Some broader definitions also include things like cool mecha, big explosions, battle scenes, etc. Basically, if it has little plot-redeaming value, but makes the viewer sit up and take notice, it's probably fan service in one form or another."
So it actually covers everything discussed here.

When Tom Clancy stops the story to explain how night vision goggles work, that's fan service.
When an episode of Chuck stops so the camera can pan over Yvonne Strahovski in a cat suit, that's also fan service.
Then you have this which does both:
