I would contribute to a Kickstarter campaign, if one existed, for a Bay-directed Shakespeare adaptation.
Worst case scenario, it would be extremely interesting.

Don't. EVER. Say that again.
A stick in the eye would be better than the prequels. This does not set the bar high.

I know Bay will probably do the next one regardless of what he says, but I'd be up for a Transformers movie where they look like...you know...actual Transformers.

As long as he's busy with Transformers he can't royally fuck up any other 80's property.

Ehhhh. I dunno.
I'd think something like the designs from the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games would be great translations of the body architecture we know but also be different. Wonderful looks to them.

Those were boxy as fuck too so you're not really making the point you think you are. In fact, though I liked those designs, some of them seemed far too cumbersome to movie right. Kind of took me out of the games at times.

I will watch or pay for anything related to Star Wars again when a 4K remaster of the OOT comes out, not before. Which will never happen.

Rumor is now not only is Bay out, but Wahlberg won't be returning.
Megan Fox and LaBeouf might return, though.

I can't imagine Shia wanting to come back. He said he was done with major Hollywood movies. But money talks...

Wahlberg not coming back was always known. The early talks for the 4th always stated that Wahlberg's character was meant as a gateway for the daughter and her statutory rapist boyfriend taking over the franchise as leads.
Weird that Megan Fox and Shia Labouf would be back. I guess Carly will be written out as another Pretender (like Isabel Lucas in the second movie).

Wahlberg says he's committed to doing more:

Really? After all the talk that he was one-and-done and doesn't do sequels (yes, TF:AOE was a sequel but not a sequel to a film he had done previously)? Not that I mind. He, Stanley Tucci, and John Goodman were easily the best things about the last movie.
Now if only the rumours of bringing Shia LaBeouf stay as rumours and instead we get Tyrese and Josh Duhamel back, I'll be very happy.

I don't care if he stops making them, I just want him to make an actual good one at some point. I get the appeal but tend to get impatient after the first hour.

I enjoyed the 3rd. Loved The Battle of Chicago. But this was last one was excruciating to get through. It was just waaaaaaaaaaay too long and dragged out.

Re: Transformers 5 - News, rumors, etc.
The first one is still the best, despite the sagging middle section. Sadly, the one with the best pacing is the second one but it has a terrible script. The third has a great final hour but the previous 90 minutes were exhausting (why waste time with Sam finding a job when he could have been working as a low level clerk for NEST, thus getting us to the main plot quicker?). This last one I liked but having two climactic sequences was overboard. Either end it right after Chicago (how did it get rebuilt in just five years?) or delete the Chicago sequence and move straight to China. Also, the Dinobots should have been the result of the fourth film's prologue.

Re: Transformers 5 - News, rumors, etc.
Given how well Bay's film do in China, I doubt it.
I just don't get what the point of all of the asinine filler is. The human drama is obviously uninteresting to Bay, why not just outright make the films about the Transformers working for the military on missions to fight Decepticons? Remove all of the pointless domestic nonsense and toilet humor. You lose 45 minutes of pointless runtime, if not more, and the film plays to the director's strengths, such as they were. I do not need to watch Sam Whitwicky try to get laid, thank you.
