Kong, "Won," the fight, but we didn't see what happened to Godzilla. It's the same ending in both versions.

I wonder if this going to be like a normal gorilla in terms of movement or like, what I'm guessing from the teaser and the image about, one that just stands up normally for the most part. seemed like he stood pretty straight up w/o the body type of a normal gorilla. Could be interesting to see this Kong move. Digging the vibe of the visuals we've seen though.

Love the look. Harkens back to '33 while also looking distinct.
The director said in an EW interview accompanying that pic Kong will walk upright and... well, fuck it, let me just post that link.

They're really pushing this as Apocalypse Now with a giant ape, aren't they?

Wow...cannot wait. I am soooo seeing it in IMAX 3D. Definitely something I need to see on the big screen.
Only 4 months away and that will come up fast.

That trailer did nothing for me at all. It looks a rehash of pretty much exactly what we have seen before, but with a bigger Kong. As with Dracula and Frankenstein movies and basically any story that keeps getting rehashed every couple of years, I am tired of seeing the same shit with a small twist to the same old story. I like the cast and the effects don't look bad, but this is just an excuse to set up the Kong be Godzilla movie and it will add nothing at all to the mythology.
Unless subsequent trailers do a really good job, I will be checking this out on home release.

That trailer didn't do much for me. Out of context... I've no issue with what's in there except I could do w/o the crap humor. And would prefer a toned down crazy John C. Riley.
I still want to see it but that trailer didn't do anything for me.

And? That's great news as far as I'm concerned.
This isn't a minor twist, either, since this'll be one of the few films where Kong lives at the end. I'm excited to have a film where Kong's mythology can be expanded instead of hindered by the original story.

Really? I could not care less. Godzilla and Kong movies have always been rather uninteresting to me on the whole. The original King Kong is still the best if you ask me as it did capture some kind of mystique for Kong, even though the effects by todays standards are child like. One thing i am glad about is they are getting rid of the damsel in distress.

Looks really good to me. No way am I going to miss seeing something as big as this on the big screen.
This is the kind of movie that was made for theatrical viewing.

Wow, that looked pretty cool. Looks like that island has it's own ecosystem, too. You have the "skull crawlers" and that giant fucking water buffalo. There must be a portal of some kind around there.
