Christ Pratt has been talking about GOTG2 lately. For example, his comments on if the Guardians will come to Earth...
... Hey! I'm from Cleveland.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel has gotten a fitting title.
“Yes, the official title for the @Guardians sequel is GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2.” writer-director James Gunn announced on Monday.
The title takes comes from Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt’s character) famous mixtape, “Awesome Mix Vol. 1,” which played a pivotal role in the original film.
Gunn confirmed the news after Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige let the title slip prematurely during an interview with Collider at a press junket for “Ant-Man.” Filming is set to begin next year in London.
“We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February-March 2016,” he told the site.
Marvel/Disney’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2″ hits theaters on May 5, 2017.

Krogers had posted something about a Kevin Bacon reference should be in the title. If not his name and the legal issues, if any, of it.

'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Finds Newcomer for Mystery Role (Exclusive)
Relative unknown Pom Klementieff has nabbed one of the new key roles in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
The sequel to 2014’s surprise hit that grossed $774 million sees most of the cast returning, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and voice stars Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.
James Gunn is also back as director and writer for the follow-up, which has a release date of Mat 5, 2017. Shooting to due to start in early 2016.
Marvel conducted a wide search for its mystery part, which called for an Asian actress, and did several rounds of chemistry reads.
The role is a big break for Klementieff, who has mostly worked in France. She did, however, appear in Spike Lee’s recent remake of Japanese thriller Oldboy in a role that demanded physicality and martial arts. Oldboy was her entree into American and English-language movies.
Klementieff is repped by Untitled.

They apparently offered Matthew mcconaughy the villain role but he turned it down.

McConaughy as the villain. Well i imagine that the villain is the Magus then. I presume they are setting him up for the Infinity War movies with his appearance here. And surely the same actor will play both Magus and Adam Warlock. Whilst i like McConaughy and his look is right for Adam Warlock/Magus (hell even his lifestyle seems to match the hippie era Warlock) i don't think he is right for the part. His voice just does not seem right for Warlock. Off the top of my head i think that Karl Urban or Sharlto Copley would be good. They have each played good guy and bad guy roles equally well and they both would have a good look as the character. I think Urban nudges Copley out simply for being a better recognized actor at this point, yet not so successful that he will cost Marvel a packet to employ. Alexander Skarsgard would be good as well, but never been sold by his acting abilities.
And if they bring in Pip then i guess as Dinklage is the only famous midget these days in movies he would snag the role. He could actually be great in the role as the character is funny but a major pain in the ass. Like a lot of characters he plays.

Does this count as the first Asian for the Marvel U? Glad she's finding success tho, rough bio:
Klementieff's father died of cancer when she was five, and her mother was schizophrenic and unable to care for children,[1] so Klementieff was raised by her paternal uncle and aunt.[2] Her uncle died on her 18th birthday,[1][3] and her brother committed suicide on her 25th birthday.[1]
"Happy Birthday! Another family member is dead."

Claudia Kim played Helen Cho in Age of Ultron, but she's more known for being Amadeus's mom than anything else.

I vaugely recall the Mantis issues of Avengers and Warlock. The thing that stands out is that Thanos was hell bent on getting to her and i believe she was supposed to be the mother to a future cosmic messiah. This could be a good way to getting Adam Warlock into the movies. I do remember finding the comics with her in rather boring. I think a movie version will only improve upon this character.
Thats Marvels greatest strength (well along with great casting), taking some of its least interesting characters and breathing life into them on the big screen. Iron Man for me was always just alright, but the movie version made him so much more enjoyable. Same thing for Star Lord.

Really? You didn't like Star Lord in his GotG comics, the 2008 team? I never cared for the guy till Annihilation. Same goes for Rocket. Actually... Annihilation was the best thing for all those cosmic characters.
I also thought Mantis was boring as hell in Avengers. West Coast Avengers, no? That team had a lot of boring people sometimes. I have so many of those issues.
I hope for the love of god they put a lot more love into the baddie(s) in this one. Marvel sucks a lot w/ their villains. Rare few of them actually are memorable. If you're not Loki, good luck to ya. Darren Cross was a new low for Marvel when he wasn't in the suit.

I thought this video of Bradley Cooper's confusion was hilarious.
Regardless of the title of the video, it isn't anything that is a spoiler.
