Henry Cavill would make a good Gaston.

Oh, I'd bang her. But honestly, she looks like she's 15 and has smaller tits than Daniel Radcliffe.

Emma Thompson in talks to play Mrs Potts:

According to the Daily Mail, another British superstar named Emma could be joining the cast of Disney's new live-action version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Emma Thompson is in negotiations to play 'Mrs. Potts' opposite Emma Watson as 'Belle'.

I think Lea Michele would be better for Belle, but I guess Emma Watson is cheaper and more reasonable if they're not going the musical route. Is there ANY way to get a version of Gans movie in America without having to have a region free player?

A Canadian DVD was recently released. A BD shouldn't be far off.

I say get Angela Lansbury back. Would be a nice connection to the animated one & its 95% just voice work. Why couldn't she just be an old lady when she becomes human again. Make Chip her grandson instead of her son.

But they are going the musical route. Not that I'd want her in the role, but I'd imagine Lea Michele would be more affordable than Emma Watson. I doubt Hollywood has been banging on her door offering plum movie roles.

Really, Disney's Belle didn't do a ton of singing to begin with: A couple verses in "Belle" and "Something There" and the reprise of "Belle". With the help of a vocal coach, Watson could probably record it all in one afternoon.

Emma Watson is a movie actress, how is she going to be cheaper than a actress in a relatively short tv show?

I like Dan Stevens, he was great in The Guest and Night at the Museum 3, but I don't see him as The Beast.

Josh Gad will play Le Fou, the buffoonish and loyal sidekick to the manly hunter Gaston, a character that was specifically created for the 1991 movie.

^^figured it'd be Gad or patton oswalt.

between this and 2 Fast 2 Frozen (assuming Olaf returns), Gad could probably retire.

Re: Disney's Beauty and the Beast (2016, D: Bill Condon) S: Emma Watson, Dan Stevens

Emma Thompson and Kevin Kline have joined the cast of Disney’s Emma Watson-starring, live-action Beauty and the Beast. Thompson will play Mrs. Potts, voiced by Angela Lansbury in the original animated film, while Kline will play Maurice, Belle’s father. And, yes, there will be singing, so Thompson best start practicing her “tale as old as time.”

According to Disney, the movie will feature the 1991 movie’s original songs, which were written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, and new songs written by Menken and Tim Rice. (Ashman died before the original movie was released.) Songs written by Menken and Rice, which didn’t appear in the movie, were featured in the Broadway production of the show.

The movie is due out March 17, 2017, and will be released in 3D. Per Disney, a mix of CG and live-action will be used.

Disney also confirmed that Dan Stevens will play the Beast while Luke Evans will take on the obnoxious Gaston.

I wonder who they're going to get for Cogsworth and Lumiere?
