I dunno. Maybe it's cuz he's just a computer kid in there that I'm not so intimidated by some young white skinny dude that I'd eventually fuck him in the ass to make him humble.
Either way. It's out of his control. He has to play it by how Snyder wanted it for some reason.
Seriously... Lex from the Timm cartoons would have been a revelation to have in here. Jesus. That Lex was a badass even when he wasn't kicking someone's ass. Lex even brought in his power suit to face off Darkseid in there.

This is what happens when a movie is cast by marketing executives. They think in terms of demographic appeal and not what fits each character/story. It's pretty clear by this point after Spacey and Eisenberg that they have no firm grasp on Lex Luthor.

I think Warner fell in love with the idea of a Mark Zuckerberg-like Lex for the Millennial generation. So they went out and got the actor that played Zuckerberg in The Social Network. I can see the line of reasoning but it was a very risky casting choice that failed spectacularly. Very few in the fan community ever wanted him as Lex.

Justice League, Part One no more.
As has been rumored for some time, Zack Snyder's follow-up to this year's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will get a name change before it hits theaters next year — kind of. Originally announced as Justice League, Part One, the actual title of the movie will be… Justice League.
The "new" title was revealed by DC chief creative officer (and newly installed co-head of DC Films) Geoff Johns on Twitter this weekend. "Clearing up any misconceptions — the Justice League movie is called 'Justice League,'" he tweeted.
The title revision follows screenwriter Chris Terrio suggesting that the movie would be less the first half of a story, and more the conclusion of an origin trilogy started with 2013's Man of Steel.
"I do think from Man of Steel through Justice League, it is one saga really," Terrio said in a March interview, saying that the latter movie would "try to lift us… into a different tonal place" following the downbeat conclusion of Batman v. Superman.
With the slight change, the title of the Nov. 17, 2017 release now matches the opening storyline of 2011's Justice League comic book series, which told the story of how the group was formed in order to deal with an alien invasion led by the forces of Darkseid, a fan-favorite character created by Jack Kirby whose presence was hinted at in Batman v. Superman.
Justice League isn't the only two-part superhero movie to undergo a name change between announcement and release; last month, the Russo brothers said that Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War would also be retitled, because "the two movies are two very different movies."

Edit: I think the "news" is a bit misleading. Johns tweet was in response to stories that Justice League had subtitles (like Justice League: Gods Among Us, etc) and he was just clearing that up.

No, it's in response to them making the Justice League movies more self-contained. They dropped the PART 1 to show it's one story.

Not saying they're not dropping the Part One from the title, which is smart and something Marvel is doing with Infinity Wars as well, but his comments was based on the rumors of a subtitle.

JK Simmons working out to play Gordon (at least that's what the thought is as JL is the only other film not in post on his resume):

Comissioner Gordon is going to spend the whole movie giving people directions to the gun show.

That picture of Simmons is fucking creepy. No idea what they're trying to go for with that look.

I didn't believe it at first tbh, but he's got some other pics from similar (or the same) sessions. Dude's just got the lean look going...probably started for his role in Whiplash. He's got the Gordon mustache going now as well.

It really is unbelievable how DC seemingly continues to do things that are so glaringly stupid. They're making it so easy to be driven away with cartoonish shit like that. Seriously what need is there for this Gordon to be ripped like that? Does Snyder just get off on big dudes or something? First Batman is ridiculously exaggerated now this.

lol, I'll wait to see a set pic.
Also, someone posted this:
Also, of all of things to criticize BvS for, the highlight for most is Batman. Might be the best suit IMO.

I did mostly like Batman because of Affleck's portrayal but I'm not the biggest fan of the suit. The mass he had was pretty ridiculous though. I'm sorry but some of the stuff that works in the comics just comes off incredibly silly and cartoonish in live action. There's really no need for a Gordon that's almost as ripped as Batman.
