Looks dumb to you. Looked fine to me especially with type of visual style he wanted. Fit well with the rest of the genre.

The Japanese cut of the House of Blue Leaves scene has even more wire work in it. And I love every second of it.

a lot of fun to be had here. a lot. just wish there was more kick ass scenes. not that there weren't any, but thought it could have used more. something about it was just off. still had a lot of fun though and would like to see more incarnations in the future. still was bad assed!

Watching Kingsman in 7 mins.

This church scene sounds insane.

I do like Vaughn. And Firth doing this is very interesting. Talking about Firth, seems like his casting hinged on whether he could do the church scene. Seems like it was a very important thing for Vaughn. Otherwise he'd cut him during some point in the training.

Just got out of it. I dig it. To sum it up for is that it's a very cheeky film. Knows what it is, plays with what it loves, and isn't ashamed about it. For all the better.

The church scene deep down I like it and its pace is impressive but... I got tired of the hidden cuts in that fight scene fast. It did it fast. The control of the action w/ it's speed was also pushing it for me. It's fun and all that... Just kind of wish it dialed back a bit.

That girl w/ the blades. I know she's a dancer, I think Hip hop but I can't really remember right now. I'd like to know how much of all that she did. She was fun.

you seem to share the same sentiments as me. it was fun, not an outright blast, but fun. just a little something seemed to be off...

Yeah. Just a wee bit off that edged it off from being perfectly well rounded.

Most people seem the feel the last third runs too long and the film overall isn't as fun once
Spoiler:
Harry Hart takes a bullet to the head.

I can. The movie is sloppy in parts with its pace and plotting. It just doesn't flow as well as it should. Edgar Wright would have absolutely knocked this thing out of the park.

Wright isn't infallible. The World's End was also sluggish and scattershot in parts.

Although Hot Fuzz (which I enjoy a whole heck of a lot) is more accessible than Shaun of the Dead, the former is not as polished (script-wise) as the latter.

Yeah, Shaun was quick witted and tightly scripted and filmed. One of my all time favs...

This was an extremely fun and entertaining movie. I will be owning it for sure when it comes out on blu-Ray. If you liked Kick-Ass, you'll like Kingsman.

My wife agreed to see this with me tonight. I'm not sure it was what she thought it would be but I fucking loved it. The most recent Bond flicks are cool and all but I miss the absurd nature and gadgets of the Bonds I grew up with. This movie was just what I had been missing and more.

Saw this just now and I think that for those complaining about plotting and pace - the second time around is a breeze. That church scene came and went before you knew it. The crowd I saw it with loved it.

I do think the film gets a big hit in stride when a certain character leaves from the story. Not that I didn't care for the other guy but... I don't think there was enough of that guy to win us over so much like w/ how it little it took w/ the other.

I guess that certain someone has been popular enough with audiences that they may (implausibly) return for the sequel.

Not a joke which is why I am spoilering the following.

Re: Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015, D: Vaughn; S: C. Firth, S. Jackson)

i read about it too.

I've yet to read the comic but for the film it was a bad decision to have him leave the film. We're supposed to like Eggsy, and I do to a point, but the other fellow was just much more interesting.
