Finally, a movie that captures the terrible feeling I get every time I go to Toronto
Enjoyed the experience, but want to watch it a second time before reading other people's interpretation. There were a few things I thought while watching the movie but may be mistaken about, like:

I netflixed Enemy after catching Villeneuve's previous film, Prisoners, on HBO. Wow. Seriously one of the best films I've seen in the past few years. Whoever first mentioned it's uncanny resemblance to the cinematic style of David Lynch, and Mulholland Drive specifically, really hit the nail on the head. I enjoyed Prisoners a lot, but Enemy was truly fantastic.

I finally got around to throwing this into the player. I have to part company with most of you. I was sorely disappointed. It's not a bad film. It's well-directed and acted, with a notably fine music score and editing, and it's made with welcome brevity, but I found the story thoroughly hollow and predictable. It's a cold technical exercise with no heart or resemblance to real life.

I finally got around to watching this over the weekend (9 months after buying the Blu-ray!). I thought it was actually pretty great. It kept me interested (and guessing!) right to the end. It's too bad I waited so long to watch it, really. I think it would benefit from a second viewing, but I'm not sure about many more after that.
