Opposite for me, I didn't really laugh at all at that and i'm a fan of Rogen's stuff.

No no no no.
Perverse and vulgar. What was the last animated film that hit along the lines to give me a stiffy?

I'm sure it'll turn out better than the last R-rated animated (stop motion) movie with a big cast.
Hell and Back
I caught it on Netflix the other day. It was pretty bad. Looked great but jokes were bad. There are several scenes of this guy getting "tortured" and the punchline after each one was "Welcome to hell." Those got a chuckle. Also it was nice seeing Mila Kunis' character wearing a top that showed nipples and she had an upskirt shot. Filmmakers must've had fun with that one since it was stop-motion. But the movie played in 400 theaters for only 2 weeks and grossed $150,000.

I really want to like this, but the trailer didn't do anything for me. I thought humor had moved beyond just adding the word fuck to dialogue to make it adult.

Looks like fun. But all the cursing feels a bit unnecessary like it adds no substance to the scenes shown. Kinda like when Solid Snakes adds "motherfuckin" after each word just because

I thought the trailer was great, and it's a great premise for an animated short, but I'm still a bit skeptical about a full length movie.

I'm curious how many stupid parents who aren't paying attention are going to blindly take their kids to this without realizing what it is, then get angry at the theater? I haven't seen a poster yet, so I suppose they are going to be careful in the marketing so they don't get accused of marketing it to minors like Joe Camel.

That looks pretty fucked up, I don't know if I will watch it. I thought the last R rated cartoon was South Park bigger longer uncut?

But in terms of Wide Release like South Park, yes you are correct.

Only 7 reviews in on RT right now, but it's at 100%. Hollywood Reporter snippet says, "The laughs barely let up after that first scene, in fact, in a film that proves to be not just more than a boundary-stretching exercise but one of the funniest arguments for the non-existence of God in some time."

I was a bit surprised that TBS was showing ads for this during this past weekend's CS:GO championship. Even more odd was that one ad used the word "skank" but a later ad had the exact same scene with a tamer word. Now my 14 year-old wants to see it.

Currently 90% on RT: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/sausage_party/
Really looking forward to this one. Will probably go to a Thursday night screening.
