The Hudsons appear as the elderly couple that take Wolverine in after he escapes Alkali Lake. They do change James's name to Travis (probably to avoid confusion with Wolverine going by James/Jimmy half the movie), but the wife is specifically named as Heather in a scene.

It's definitely a loose adaptation, but still consistent with them being the ones to discover and rehabilitate Wolverine after he escapes from Weapon Plus.

Re: Future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects discussion thread - Rumors, casting, et

Mark Ruffalo has confirmed that Marvel Studios is considering a Hulk standalone movie.

"I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it," Ruffalo told Digital Spy today (June 17). "When we did The Avengers it was basically 'No!', and now there is some consideration for it.

"But there's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut."

Hasn't this same rumor popped up every few months since Avengers came out?

I'm hoping we get another stand alone Hulk film. I think if it was done right it could be good. I actually didn't mind The Incredible Hulk and thought Norton was a decent Banner.

I still want to see the Norton cut of that film.

I actually liked The Incredible Hulk and Norton in that movie. It's a shame that he wasn't willing to play ball. Still I just can't seen him a team up movie where he wasn't top dog.

There was a good amount of good quality deleted scenes. That opening would have been great.

Something tells me that if GOTG becomes a giant success, we'll get Planet Hulk. Intergalactic stories might inject new life to supposed superhero-fatigue.

If they want more cosmic movies, I think Nova is much more likely. Hulk 2 should use the Leader as was hinted at in the first movie.

Agreed. The bad guy in Incredible Hulk 2 has to be The Leader, although I would love it if The Leader used Blonsky as his muscle. That would make for a great Hulk movie - The Hulk VS The Leader and The Abomination!

I guess they would have to recast Tim Blake Nelson as he is playing the Mole Man in the new Fantastic Four movie. They have recast before, so no biggie. I really liked the Incredible Hulk and Norton was god in the role. Ruffallo is just as enjoyable though.

FF is coming out next year. A Hulk sequel isn't going to come before then. We have Avengers 2 and Ant-Man next year, and then Cap 3 and Thor 3 in 2016. Any potential Hulk sequel is looking at 2017 at the earliest.

Have it be a Hulk + Rocket Raccoon + Groot Team up Movie.

I believe Rocket Raccoon's first appearance was in Hulk comic book.

Interesting rumors about a possible 'Planet Hulk' + Galaxy of the Guardians 2 tie-in.

Avengers 2 plot spoilers:

I read about that. I could do without a PH plot but his interaction with the GotG would be an interesting thing to see where that goes.

They may committed themselves to it either way. Was rumored they already greenlit a sequel but also seems like GotG are important to the brand. Narratively speaking.

I fully expect Avengers 3 to be a throw down against Thanos but my inner nerd would freak the fuck out if they committed to a full on movie akin to the comics' Infinity Gauntlet. All the heroes vs. Thanos.

Saying that.. I'd like to see The Avengers fight another one of their baddies.

Unveil the rest of the phase 3 titles and release dates.

Possibly reveal who is playing Strange.

Damn that Mortensen rumor. It would've been VERY interesting to see him.
