I never make a decision on seeing a movie based solely on a poster. Is it really that important unless you were totally ignorant about a movie?
I really liked the first movie and the trailer looked great, so I'm in.

The poster is still better than the first movie's poster which was nothing more than a picture of Tom Cruise.

Having said that, I don't think there are too many great movie posters anymore. I hardly bother to look at them at the theater anymore because they don't grab me like they used to.

Not a good poster... the standard profile Cruise shot probably would've been better. But yeah, posters probably have much less of an impact these days...

Who cares about the poster? (And it's a decent poster, anyway. Nothing great, but a good, solid, standard issue movie poster.) The poster is never indicative of the quality of the movie...
The trailer is awesome and the first movie was great - that's all I need to know to go see this on the opening weekend!

I think trailers matter more now than a goddamn fucking poster. The poster could have a picture of dex14 taking a shit on concrete but I'd still see this film cuz of the first film and the trailer for this film.

I didn't love it, but didn't dislike Knight and Day. Not a big fan of Diaz but the movie itself was a typical quickie Cruise vehicle. I give it a spin every once in a while.

I just watched the first "Jack Reacher" for the first time tonight...don't know what took me so long, since I'm a Tom Cruise fan AND it was filmed in my hometown. Anyway, I really liked it. I'm not planning on waiting four years to see the sequel.

I loved the first movie, but the trailers for this movie are not making look as solid. I am not a fan of the director Ed Zwick and pretty sure he has produced another weak movie. It also looks rather too similar in story to the first movie.
I will probably end up going to see it in case they managed to produce something similar to the first movie, and i truly hope it is. But i have my doubts.
