London Has Fallen (2016, D: Najafi) -- S: Butler, Eckhart, Freeman

http://www.deadline.com/2013/10/gera...on-has-fallen/

2013′s White House action hit Olympus Has Fallen will be sequelized as NuImage/Millennium Films bring returning stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Morgan Freeman to London. This time around POTUS (Eckhart) and his trusted Secret Service bodyguard Mike Banning (Butler) plus an English MI6 agent are the only ones who can stop a plot to take down London during the Prime Minister’s funeral. Angela Bassett and Radha Mitchell will also reprise their roles as the director of the Secret Service and Mike’s wife, respectively, while Freeman is back as senator Allan Trumbull. Butler, Alan Siegel, Mark Gill, Matt O’Toole, and Danny Lerner are producing. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson, and Christine Crow are exec producing. Katrin Benedikt and Creighton Rothenberger, who scripted the first Fallen flick, will write the sequel. Filming begins in London next May.

Awesome, more adventures of Mike Banning. Loved Olympus has Fallen. Favorite action movie from the Spring.

I'm actually a bit worried that Morgan Freeman is in the sequel. Hopefully it's not a retread of the first one where
Spoiler:
Freeman has to assume the presidential duties

Why would the secret service be protecting the prime minster?

Read it more carefully. The President is in London for the British Prime Minister's funeral.

I'm curious to see who they cast as the MI 6 agent.

Might as well just go for Pierce Brosnan...

Now that would be awesome. Butler and Brosnan.

However, I think they will go with someone younger.

I liked the first one and would gladly see a sequel. I hope Eckhart is nothing but a cameo. I don't like how they made him such a pussy in the first movie.

Easy, just cast Gerard Butler as Mike Banning and as his long-lost Scottish twin brother Angus Banning. Double the Butler!

As long as it's not PG-13, I'm in.

Another similarity to Die Hard is how the first movie was in a small self contanined area and the next movie went to a much wider area. Although it seems to have skipped Die Hard 2, which was a self contained area (within a couple of miles) and went on to the whole city area.

Still never saw the first one. It looked iffy to me. On the action scale of the still young 2010s... Where does one put OHF?

Way up there. It's really a throwback to the Die Hard type movies. It was ridiculous, but oh so fun.

It's decent. Picture and audio is good. About 45 minutes of extras, which are mostly featurettes.

Hrmmm. So with that...I think I'll get it when it's cheap. Light features always means I need to wait for a cheap price. $14.99...still too high for my blood.

It's going to be $7 during Black Friday at Walmart. That's when I plan on picking it up. Hopefully Amazon matches too.

It's streaming on Netflix if you don't want to blind buy. There are roll your eye moments, but overall it was pretty fun.

OHF is the bomb, yo. It's violent as fuck and Gerard Butler fucks shit up big time. The audio is reference, too.

This is what that last bullshit Die Hard movie should have been.
