Damnit!!! 
I just got an e-mail invite to a pre-screening of London has Fallen on Tuesday night. But, I have to work that night. So I can't go. But, there is a legal embargo on it because it doesn't come out until next year, so I wouldn't have been able to post a review or comments on it anyways. But it would have been awesome to see it 6 months early. Obviously it would have been the rough cut with only a temporary score since it's still in post production. Oh well. I guess I'll wait until January like everyone else.

EXCLUSIVE: Focus Features is moving its action disaster pic London Has Fallen from the post MLK frame of January 22, 2016 to March 4, 2016. The first film, Olympus Has Fallen, went out in March 2013 becoming a surprise spring hit for its distributor Film District with a $30.4M opening weekend and a domestic cume of $98.9M. London‘s release date change stems from a couple of factors, in particular, the film is coming off strong research screenings, making a spring break launch prime for the sequel. In addition, more time is needed to complete the film’s VFX.

March 4 will give it a few weeks to rake in the $$$ before Batman v Superman hits screens.
Also, possibly the first film to knock Star Wars out of the #1 spot for the weekend?

Doesn't Star Wars come out in December? Both The Hateful Eight and Ride Along 2 should knock it out by then. Heck, The Revenant might be a dark horse with the power of Tom Hardy and Leo.

Limited release a week after Star Wars. I think both movies come out in wide release after the New Year, kind of like American Sniper and we saw what that movie did. I know fanboys of Star Wars will be out in bunches and easily make the movie over a billion dollars, but Tarantino has a good track record as well in his last two films. No reason his momentum suddenly stops.

Although that CGI chopper at the end of the trailer looked pretty fake.

Saw it today at a military sneak peek. It had terrorists, explosions, gunplay, landmarks in flames, and Gerard Butler with a knife-kill fetish. It was okay, but not great. I've seen others of this type that I enjoyed more. On the plus side, Angela Bassett was actually at our screening and she looked awesome. So there was that.

I'm one of the few who thought OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN was vastly superior to the corny WHITE HOUSE DOWN, so I've really been looking forward to this one.
